I have been taking underwater photos for more than 25 years and find this small, simple to use camera a great companion for sailing, windsurfing and snorkling trips and well as skiing and other outdoor activities where snap shots will do. The picture quality is fine and the features (movie, snow etc) are most of what snap shot photographers need. Cons:The zoom is only 3x and it has no view finder making it difficult to frame a picture in very bright light. Not very useful for scuba diving since it is limited to 10 ft underwater. Bottom line...always have it with you on vacation. I keep it in my brief case.

Just had it up in the mountains of colorado in 0 degree temps and snow. Worked flawlessly in still and video mode.

I have an Olympus digital that I love because it's weatherproof and I can keep taking pics when everyone else is putting their cameras away, but I've been wanting to replace it with one that's actually waterproof. (and sandproof) I've got to tell you that I miss the zoom lens on my old Olympus 35 mm though as well as the viewfinder so I related to your review. You sound like you like the camera for carrying around everywhere and that's basically what I need since I'm certainly no "photographer" and I just want to capture some memories.
