We have been using this camera for the past six years now and wouldn't go anywhere without it!!! It takes fantastic pictures - no other camera compares to this one! I want to get a new camera but this one continues to operate flawlessly and I keep finding new ways to use it. Just amazing!

I am completely in love with this camera. I've had it for almost 2 years now and not a single problem with it. I've had other camera that started acting up around the one year mark, but not the stylus. It still performs the same as when it was brand new. The zoom is outstanding. I can zoom way in and not lose picture quality. The LCD is a very nice size. The features are also nice. Having both macro and super macro mode are really nice to have. It's a light camera and has a very sleek design. I would say the only negative thing I have to say about it is that you have to take out the battery to charge it. I would really have rather had the ability to charge it through a USB cord. That is mostly because I'm absent-minded and constantly forget where I put the charger. The battery life is great as well! I went on vacation with my camera for ten day and took tons of photos and only had to charge it once. Overall this is a wonderful little camera for the price!

I love the zoom on the olympus stylus 1010 digital camera.  It makes taking pictures much easier and the subject appear much closer.  Unlike with some cameras, zooming way in does not make the picture turn on blury which is awesome.  It is also very easy to use.  I love that you (as the user) can easily control how much exposure picture gets with the touch of a button.  I also love how it has a guide feature so it can automatically select the settings for a particular event.  It makes it very nice and easy to use if something is moving fast and you want a good picture of it.  It is nice that it has a power button.  My previous camera did not and it was always getting accidently turned on.  I do not have that problem with this camera.  I also like how easy it is to by extra accessories for it if you chose to.  The battery lasts a while.  This camera is easy to take with you because it is small but it has a lot of great features on it and did not cost an arm and a leg.  I love this camera and do not think there is anything bad about it.

I'LL BE KEEPING IT FOR SURE. { Olympus stylus 1010 digital camera. }   First of all it is a Olympus and has a good reputation for cameras. This camera comes in black,blue,silver and grey. It comes with a case and all the equipment that is nessary  to use all of the fuctions of the camera.It is light weight, forms to your hand, and is very flat and easy to put into your pocket. It hooks up to your computer easily and also your printer. The camera itself has allot of fuctions on it so you can take quality pictures no matter what the weather or area that you are in. It has settings for every type of lighting that you can think of.

I have had the Olympus Stylus 1010 for 2 years now, and I absolutely love it!  It's small enough that I can keep it with me most of the time to capture unexpected memories.  There are lots of different shooting modes.  The ones I use most are:  Sunset (for sunrise and sunset landscapes), Fireworks (so cool that I finally take good pictures of fireworks!), Sport (for when my subject is moving or when I just can't keep my hand steady), and Candle (for pictures in dim light without the unnatural light of a flash ruining the pretty lighting).  The super macro mode also allows you to get really close to your subject--within about 3/4 of an inch, depending on subject and conditions.  Yes, it is outperformed in many aspects by many of the digital SLR cameras, but I really believe the Olympus Stylus 1010 to be among the top of its class.  You get what you pay for.  This camera is more expensive than many other digital cameras but less expensive than most digital SLR cameras, so it makes sense that it is better than most digital cameras but not as good as most digital SLR cameras.  Overall, a wonderful camera.  Such a pleasure to play with.

We bought this camera because it has a sleek design in comparison to some of the other digital cameras which are clunkier and more bulky.  Also, the specs were good in comparison to others in the same price range.  The features are relatively user-friendly.  I like the size of the LCD display screen and the position of the zoom button.  My biggest complaint has been taking up-close photos.  The auto focus is really picky for shots that are zoomed in closely and it's frustrating to have to zoom out in order for it to focus on the desired image.  There is a warning chime when you're about to delet all the images which I like because it's kept me from accidentally deleting all of my pictures a couple of times.  I would highly recommend buying  an extra battery with this camera so you can have one charged at all times.  The camera has been fairly durable despite being dropped by my son a couple of times.

I was saddened when I broke my Olympus camera at the end of a recent vacation.  I began searching immediately for a reasonably priced replacement, but I wanted it to be another Olympus because I had been so impressed with the quality of the pictures I had gotten with my old one.  I did some consumer research online and decided to buy the Olympus Stylus 1010 digital camera, and I am glad I did.  With 10 megapixels and a rechargeable battery, it is a definite upgrade from my last camera.  I am getting even better quality photos, the same easy functions, and a better zoom lens for not much more money than I had paid for my last camera.  One day I may buy an SLR, but in the meantime, I'm loving how compact my new camera is.  I end up being able to carry it in my pocket for photo shoots.  I hate to admit that I don't like reading user manuals, but I must say that I haven't needed to read the manuals for either of the Olympus digital cameras I've purchased.  They are that easy to use.

I absolutley love my camera. I wanted something that has great zoom and takes quick pictures. Not to mention it came in fushia pink. Very easy to operate. I don't use a lot of the features just the normal picture taking and love the video too.

So, I am one of those consumers that debate the purchase of a new electronic device nearly to the point that when I am ready to make my purchase the item is nearly obsolete. While I did do my fair share of research on the Olympus Stylus 1010 it was pretty easy to decide on this compact point and shoot. I previously owned a small Sony 5mp with a 3x optical zoom and often found myself desiring much more zoom ability. While I would have loved to step up to a digital SLR I just could not justify the extra cash for my purposes. Long story short, I have thoroughly enjoyed owning this camera. I am especially pleased with the level of zoom of this very slim camera. I am also thankful Olympus finally started allowing the use of a memory format other than the proprietary XD memory (which has a max storage capacity of 2 gb). I purchased a 4 GB mini-SD card and can take more pictures than I could ever need. One drawback that almost made me return the camera was the fact that some of the options do not allow you to take full advantage of the 10mp capabilities. For instance, in the fastest burst modes you can only take 3mp pictures. While this would have been a large complaint, the speed at which this camera shoots blew me away. It is the next best thing to an SLR in my opinion. In short, this is a very good camera if you want something sleek, sexy and packs an amazing zoom. There are other cameras on the market that do just as good of a job if not better but not most of these have the standard 3x optical lens which just does not cut it.
