This camera is great for someone who enjoys taking their equipment out into areas where others would shy away from (eg: the beach, the ocean). Image Quality It is horrible in low light, but in daytime or indoors with adequate lighting Performance The camera is snappy, and takes pictures rather quickly. Ease of Use For a beginning photographer, this would be a good camera to get acquainted with. The menu is very simple and easy to use. Durability You can bring this camera to the beach, use it underwater and it will still work fine. It's shock proof, you can drop it from 5 feet and it will still remain intact. Battery Life You can make the camera last a while on a charge. Portability Because of its features, it is a little on the hefty side, but still quite portable.

After doing extensive comparison shopping, I bought the Olympus Stylus Tough 6020 to use in my outdoor activities, especailly mountain biking, since I didn't want to tote my expensive DSLR Digital Camera with me into environments where it might get damaged. I was immediately impressed with both still photo and video image quality. I also love the small size, which makes it perfect to slip into a pocket and take on a hike, skiing, you name-it. You can set it to operate as a simple point-and-shoot camera, or get more involved in your settings. Image stabilization has made it wonderful for shooting moviews of sports activites. I made my own handlebar mount and use this camera to film my mountain biking, on pretty rough, unpaved forest roads. Now my family, which is scattered all over the States can share my hobbies, either through viewing my still photos or my movies.

I have small children and live out of state from our families so I need a camera to take many different pictures. This camera takes wonderful pictures in a pool. They are clear and great quality. Night, snow and beach and action shots turn out great. You can purchase a flotation strap to put on it if you are at a lake or a really deep pool. That is a relief so you don't have to worry about losing it. It takes great videos with sound. The underwater sounds are really cool while watching your kids perform underwater "tricks". It has many different features you can program for the particular pictures you are taking whether it's different lighting or flash options. The only negatives I have found with this camera is it is sometimes slow shutter speed. It seems sometimes I just can't time it right. Also I haven't been able to take good pictures in a gym or sometimes in classrooms. I just can't get the lighting right so the pictures have good color.

First let me say I am a Canon girl. I love my Canons. This was a Christmas present. I needed a camera that I could take to the pool or the beach and not worry about. So it suits that purpose great! Now I'm just waiting on pool season to really test out the underwater capability!! Style-wise I love it! I have the gorgeous red color! The screen on back is huge! The menus and zoom buttons are easily accessible and pretty standard (super easy to use). My favorite part of this camera was that mine came with a little life-preserver! So cute! LOL It's 12 mega pixels, so you get pretty darn good quality in such a tiny camera! This will be 1000 times better than any throw away waterproof camera! Since it is so "tough" I don't mind letting my 5 year old photographer in training carry it around. He loves to snap pictures and I don't have to be as worried with this as I would my more expensive cameras. Overall - I'm super excited about it! I can't wait to really give it some underwater tests. It's stylish, sleek, and downright pretty! A great low cost tough digital camera.

The Olympus Digital Camera ;Wow no words to descirbe the QUALITY PICTURES . This camera is great its not heavy and very intresting to use. This Camera is very high quality the definition of your picture's is outstanding.....I believe everyone should have one although most  are saying bad things  well i think it takes pretty good pictures. Me being a smart shopper i would catch them on sale or even get them of the web if there very high priced . the color of the camera is great they could come in a little more variety's like maybe some type of print or something ; i don't know i just would like a very fun looking camera , wait everyone does anyway i hope everyone  enjoys this camera cause its very incredible, sleak slim and very good snap shots going on. This camera is good for those on the go cause if you drop it no problem it cool.... the best thing is its water proof . i am an artist so have you every wanted to just capture the beauty of rain falling this would have to be the camera for you...... everyone loves swimming and i know that i am just like, don't laugh a  a water baby  ha ah ha but the qaulity of your pictures would never change no matter if its raining or in the summer in the canyon great for out door picnic and festivites  its really good when being dropped cause i believe it can be dropped a million times and still be alright cause its the best cameras ever.....

I got this camera to bring with me on my honeymoon to Mexico.  I knew we'd be by the ocean, and probably doing some snorkeling.  It was a little scary to bring in the water the first time (I wanted to hold it above my head to keep it dry).  I was also a little nervous about losing it in the water, but a simple loop that tightened around my arm solved that problem.  Now, I have TONS of beautiful photographs of fish & stingrays to remember all the snorkeling we did.  The only complaint I have is that the camera seemed a little slow when taking photos of the fish.  This could just be because they move around so quick that it is difficult to capture the image you want without more expensive photography equipment.  I just took a LOT of photos, and was happy to see quite a few turned out.  So far, the camera has lived up to its name "tough" and has been dropped plenty of times to test this.  I am pleased with the quality/clarity of the images, but don't claim to be a photographer or to be very critical about this aspect.  I am very happy with this camera, and will bring it along anytime I will be taking pictures in and around water.
