This camera is efficient and does its job well. I have owned it for four years and have taken thousands of pictures. Image Quality There are four levels of resolution for still photography. While many newer cameras are going into the megapixel stratosphere, this camera will deliver a quality image every time at lower price. Performance I have never had a problem with the performance of the camera. It delivers a consistent photo with every click. Ease of Use The camera fits easily into one hand and all controls can be accessed with the thumb. A novice could use it easily. Durability Four years and thousands of pictures later I still use it every day to take the many photographs that are necessary for my job. Battery Life I recharge my the four double A batteries about once a month for the camera. Energy usage is not something I have found to be a problem. Portability The camera is no bigger or smaller than most other digital cameras currently available and is easily protable.

I have owned my Olympus E-510 Digital SLR for about a year and a half. I have taken thousands of photos and have really come to rely on its dependability. It's menu's are easy to access and easy to understand. It's dials and buttons are also well placed for easy access. I am using the two kit lens, a 14-42mm and a 40-150 mm, plus I bought a 70-300mm telephoto lens. This camera has image stabilization technology to help prevent camera shake. It has built in noise reduction as well, which has a a couple settings to control the amount of noise reduction you want to apply.  One of the main things I like is that the transfer from camera to my computer is always flawless. It requires no software whatsoever, but you can install Olympus mastersuite and edit your photos in there. The cable transfer is by USB 2.0.  I would stick with the Olympus brand myself because of my experience with the E-510.

I was lucky to have purchased my camera on sale which made it an even better deal.  It's simple to use and reviewing or deleting pictures you have just taken is an easy two step process.  This camera will take pictures antomatically or one can adjust the aperture and shutter speed.  There is also an option to shoot videos with sound; this is a great option at sporting events.  The camera has a macro mode for close-ups and it also allows one to over or under expose a picture for special effects.  Then it has a scenes mode that allows the camera to better adjust to the type of picture/s being taken such as landscapes, sporting events, night time, low light, bright areas, and close-ups, etc.  The camera also has a power save feature where it will shut itself off if not used for a 3 minute period.  This camera will also let one review pictures one at a time or one select the slide show option where it will go through the pictures automatically.  The camera will allow one to set a date and time so you can recall when the picture was taken.  With all these options and even more this camera is fun to use and can be used in all types of picture taking.  It has enough megapixls where enlargements are not too grainy.  I have really enjoyed this camera and it has been a good investment.  I would recomend it to anyone.

I've had an Olympus SP510UZ digital camera for 3 years and I still love it. Photography is one of my favorite hobbies and I'm starting to get into lighting, composition, etc.. This camera is really easy to use. You don't need to set any complicated settings in order to get good pictures, but you can experiment with them if you want to. It has great zoom and the pictures are really high-quality. The camera automatically focuses and adjusts the light settings very well. For a point-and-shoot camera, I get great pictures from it. Additionally, getting the pictures out of the camera and onto my computer is very easy. This camera is very durable and is in almost as good condition as the day I bought it. It seems to last a long time before it needs new batteries. I would recommend this camera to both casual and serious photographers. Even complete beginners will have an easy time using it, while more advanced users can customize the settings to their liking.
