As a professional photographer for thirty-seven years, I have had many cameras. I have bought and regretted electronic cameras over the years and now they are worthless junk! The first cameras I ever owned are still going strong and now in the hands of my daughter Caroline. Almost two years ago I hesitantly agreed to shoot my sisters wedding. I say hesitently, because with film, if anything goes wrong... wel, you get the idea. So this was the perfect opportunity to go digital. It took about a day to sift through all of the information and I setled on the Olympus Evolt E-500. It is easy to use, the presets are accurate and I like the fact that I can program it to shoot like the film I used to use. Another key factor was the advanced sonic cleaning mechanism. This sends sound waves over the CCD imager to clean it of dust. This was a feature that was not available on other brands, Canon and Nikon were the other two I looked at.
