Old Navy  —

Ok as you may know Old Navy offers low priced clothing and accessories for the whole family. Gap Inc. owns Old Navy as well as Gap and Banana Republic. Don't be fooled into thinking that Old Navy offers the same great quality that Gap and Banana Republic do. They don't!

I worked at Old Navy for about a year. So, I purchased a lot of things from there. The price is right at Old Navy. The quality of clothing is not.

I have never purchased anything from Old Navy online.  I have shopped at different locations a number of times. The stores I've been to have been reasonably clean. Some of the stores shelves look like people just throw the clothes around especially the clearance clothes. The employees are usually very friendly and helpful. Most employees have smiles on their faces which is always nice. The music is always fun and upbeat.

The prices at Old Navy are great. They always have low prices. They usually have some great deals going on. Clearance prices are awesome if you can find anything in the piles of clothes. What some people fail to realize is the clothes are so cheap because of the quality and because of child labor. Old Navy's answer to using childlabor? They abide by the rules of that country. So if you can be five in work in China it's ok becuase their government allows it. That's pretty awful. I learned that when I was working at the store. I would say over 50% of the things I purchased from there and washed shrunk too much. The fabric is usually thin and not comfy. As a result of this the clothing doesn't last that long. I think in the long run you pay more for cheaper clothes. This is because the quality is poor meaning it will fade/wear out easily. You can buy three shirts at old navy for the price at one at so and so store but that one shirt will outlast those three from old navy..

Returning clothes is usually fairly easy. If you have a receipt they will just refund the money or credit. If you don't you have to fill out your information and send you a merchandise credit in the mail. This can be a big pain

Having an Old Navy card can work to your advantage. Cardholders receive special deals all the time. When you get approved for one you get a discount on your first purchase.. It's usually around 10% off of your first purchase. When I had one I found it was really nice that you could use it at Old Navy, Gap, or Banana Republic.

I believe in quality over quantity. If you want something that's cheap and will not last long I suggest Old Navy. If you want something that's quality shop somewhere else.
