We choose these treats specifically because we have 2 diabetic dogs and 1 with chronic pancreatitis. They are low in fat but the last 3 bags of dog treats we bought have had worms crawling in them along with moths. We returned our first bag about a month and a half ago and exchanged it. Then bought 2 more bags and was very leary of finding the same and as we were a few days into the bags we in fact did. Very disturbing and upset that this is not a one time deal. I will be sending a letter to the company as well as the FDA with pictures to show the validity of my complaint.

I just started buying these treats a few months ago, after a few friends were telling me and recommending them to me for our dog. I usually buy in bulk when I buy these, as they are cheaper for the larger packages, each month and use them for training treats or good behavior/tricks treats. He loves the taste of them, and is always begging for more when gets a treat or when he sees the bag. The price is really good for these treats, and for the quality of the treats you are getting. They are very healthy and nourishing as well. They are low in calories, so it is good if you are looking for something to help maintain your dogs weight or help them lose weight. Our vet even highly recommended them to us when we asked him about them when we took our dog in for a check up. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for a great dog treat to give their dog(s) whether it be for training or just as a dog treat.

Old Mother Hubbard strives to make their treats with high quality ingredients. They can be slightly more expensive, however I've seen sales before, as well as coupons. You can tell they are crunchy and the dog loves them, making them the perfect treat. With all the recent news of recalls and pet treats made in China causing illness, this is a much better option. But, you should still always check the date and give them a look over regardless. Still, Old Mother Hubbard are better than your average dog biscuits. I would also buy the smaller bags of these. Because there are fewer preservatives, they don't always last as long. So it really just depends on how often you'll be using them, as well as the size of the dog. As for flavors there is some good variety to choose from, and the dog seems to like every flavor. So that really shouldn't be a problem either. You can feel good giving these wholesome treats to your pet.

I had to review this one, because our puppy loves them! We have three toy breed dogs, and they all love these, but our puppy really will do any trick there is for one of these! She pulls out all the stops for this one! I buy the "extra tiny ones" because they are perfect for our little dogs' teeth. All three are able to chew them well. They come in some great flavor varieties and are made in the USA, which I love! They are know to have high quality ingredients and I find them in a variety of stores, even off price centers like Job Lot, who has a large selection of them. My dogs have no problem digesting them, even our dog who has colitis. I put the crunch treats/biscuits in an air tight container to keep them crisp. The treats that come in ziplock closure , I leave, as is, and they stay fresh for a long time. Although, with three dogs, treats aren't around too long! As far as price goes, I would give them a thumbs up. I feel they are good quality and reasonably priced. Give these a try; I know you and your dog will be pleased.

My dog is a pretty large breed and it would be no stretch to say he thinks he's my son. I like to treat him. I like Old Mother Hubbard's products for so many reasons. There is a pretty wide range of products to choose from and they serve different purposes for pet owners like me. I feel satisfied with the ingredients that are used in there products. The mini bones are my favorite to purchase because I can offer him a smaller treat in between meal times and because my dog likes to chew on any and everything. I feel good with the knowledge that I am offering him something wholesome and natural. I also used other Mother Hubbard products that fit other needs as well. I used the cookies when he was potty training and when we were training him to behave. There are treats available if different forms - like cookies or minis ect. that easily fit his snacking needs. Every different product I have tried thus far anyway, has landed well. I don't like that they are as widely available as I would like them to be in my community but I can easily access them at the pet shop or most often, online. I know they are slightly more than some of the other brands but I like this brand because of it's consistent high quality.

I've owned and fostered lots of dogs over the years, and as such, we go through a lot of dog treats in this house. I've tried all the big name treats, some of the smaller known treat brands, and I always seem to come back to Old Mother Hubbard treats. For starters, they just make the dogs go bonkers. They don't react this way to any other crunchy biscuit type treat, and being an attentive owner, I pay attention to what makes my dogs happy. The ingredients are up to our standards, and they have a variety of flavors so I don't have to worry about finicky pets or lack of variety. There is a flavor, shape, and size for everyone. I especially love the little tiny bones, they are great for putting in my pockets for on the go training treats. The other thing I love about Old Mother Hubbard treats is how affordable they are. Taking care of pets is expensive, and I love a good value. You just can't get better quality for less. Our treat jars will always be stocked with Old Mother Hubbard treats here, and we'll have happy dogs because of that.

We have been feeding our dog Old Mother Hubbard crunchy dog treats as long as we have had her. She has many allergies and almost all of the varieties of flavors are still good for her to eat. There's a lot of whole, actual food ingredients, and there's not a lot of junk and fillers. Her favorite is the 'Just Veggin' which is merely vegetables, fruits and spices. The crunchy bones come in a couple different sizes, and the bags are available in a number of volumes as well. As far as dog treats go, they're relatively inexpensive, especially for a higher quality product than your supermarket chewy treat. The bags are paper and the product always comes fresh. We keep them stores in a glass dog cookie jar, and our dog is as excited for the first treat in the bag as she is the last. We rarely find broken treats in a bag, they hold up well but never seem to be a problem for our dog to chew. They're great rewards or carriers for pills when necessary. They're our go-to dog treat and we recommend them all the time.

I had a coupon for a free 3 oz trial size of these so I thought I would give them a try. My dogs loved them. The ingredients are very appealing with natural ingredients used to get the flavors available. The flavor we had was bacon cheez, which appealed to all three of my dogs. I went back and bought a large bag of these for my dogs that I plan to use as soon as the current snacks are eaten. Personally, I use the mini snacks that are meant for little dogs as two of my dogs are overweight and don't need the extra calories of a larger snack. The way my dogs reacted it seemed like they were getting a full sized snack. I would definitely recommend this for any dogs, especially if the owner is interested in all natural ingredients or supporting smaller companies. If we as owners wish to give our animals better ingredients we need to show our support to those companies who are willing to put themselves out there and make them.

Well these biscuit passed the "Emmie Lou" test! My Emmie Lou loves these -- all flavors -- and I feel better about giving her these than some other kinds of biscuits. When she knows these are on the go, she definitely shows more interest in these than others. The ingredients seem to be a lot more natural and good for her, so I don't mind if she has an extra one. I think these are well made and I do recommend them!

These treats are amazing!  I have not found one dog that doesn't love to eat them up.  They come is great flavors and are all natural.  They maybe a little more expensive than some other brands but I believe you pay for what you get.  My dogs just love them :)
