review »ODU was founded as a division of William & Mary in 1930. It is a good school that is getting even better. Their academic programs and reputation have improved significantly over the last decade or more. The campus is more urban and quite modern, so you don't have many cobblestone streets or old architecture etc. ODU has nationally respected programs in science, technology and medicine including partnerships with EVMS. review »Old Dominion University is a nice medium sized univerisity located in Norfolk, Virginia. It is somewhat selective but not as bad as some schools. It is not too hard to transfer in. Tuition is roughly $7,000 a year. There is a lot to do in Hampton Roads. There is Virgina Beach about 30 minutes away. Downtown Norfolk is about 15 minutes away. There are tons of cute little shops in an area called Ghent. It has a good social scene between local clubs, house parties and the greek life. You can live on or off campus.
