Olay Touch of Sun Body Lotion Plus A Touch of Sunless Tanner Review

As summer is quickly approaching, it’s time to get ready for summertime clothing—shorts and swimsuits! If you are like me, you start the summer off looking a bit chalky. I usually have the problem of my arms being darker than my legs and when I pull out my shorts, I look like a dork! This year it was especially bad because we have taken the kayaks out on weekends starting in March when the weather was nice. My arms are tanned now but my legs are white. One of the sunless tanning products that I have really liked is Olay Touch of Sun Radiance Reviver Body Lotion Plus a Touch of Sunless Tanner.

This is a body lotion that contains a “a touch of sunless tanner”. It comes in a 6.7 fl. oz tube which is light yellow and a sun with rays on the front. Olay claims this lotion will give you a “sun-kissed glow”. It works along with your skin’s chemistry to develop your sun-kissed glow.

Directions state that you should use this lotion on a regular basis (daily) to obtain the benefits. You apply the lotion just as you would any body lotion, just rub it in thoroughly. Wash hands afterward to avoid discoloration of your hands (they will turn orange or dark brown).

Olay Touch of Sun retails for about $6.99 a tube and is available in drug stores, grocery stores, and mass merchandising stores. Coupons are often found in the Sunday newspaper supplements for $.75-$1.00 off.

My Viewpoint

Olay Touch of Sun Radiance Reviver Body Lotion Plus a Touch of Sunless Tanner has worked very well for me. One of the things I first noticed about it was that it did not have a funky smell and it isn’t greasy! If you are looking for a good body lotion that will moisturize your skin well and give you a touch of color, this one is one of my favorites.

A misconception that a lot of people have when picking up a sunless tanning lotion is that they expect instant color. Most of these products, Olay Touch of Sun included only claim to give a gradual tan over several days. On day one and two you probably will not notice a difference. On day three you will begin to see the color develop. After 4-5 days you will have a deepened skin tone that will look natural.

I use Olay Touch of Sun daily. I have dry skin and need a moisturizer anyway. This product helps me with two problems at once. Olay Touch of Sun does a great job of moisturizing for me. It’s not greasy and gives me a natural looking deepened color to my skin that matches my overall skintone. At this time of the year, it gives my legs some color so they don’t stand out when I wear shorts.

Be sure to wash your hands after using this, it will discolor the palms of your hands and also knees, ankles and elbows. Use sparingly in these areas. I like it!
