Take a look at the bag. ( hold on, I am looking up the ingredients )

Look at the very first ingredient, let alone the first 4 or 5.. CORN, then soybean meal, then wheat, and corn syrup.. What about that is good? It is preserved with BHA which causes cancer in people and dogs.
There is no reason to even go on.. It's garbage dogfood.. I wouldn't feed it if my dog was hungry and all the dogfood stores were closed... I would be further ahead to take her thru drivethru at Wendy's and get her a burger... Ol Roy itself is recalled all the time because of Salmonella poisoning.. But the crap ingredients speak for themselves.

~Ingredients~
Ground yellow corn, soybean meal, ground whole wheat, corn syrup, poultry fat, Meat and bone meal (Animal Fat Preserved with BHA and Citric Acid), Chicken by-product Meal, Rice, Animal Digest, Salt, Calcium Carbonate, Potassium Chloride, Choline Chloride, Ferrous Sulfate, Zinc Oxide, Vitamin D and E Supplement, Niacin, Copper Sulafate, Manganous Oxide, Vitamin A Supplement, Calcium Pantothenate, Biotin, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Thiamine Mononitrate, Meadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex Source of Vitamin K, Calcium Iodate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Cobalt Carbonate, Folic Acid, Sodium Selenite, Folic Acid

I worked for a vet and he categorically stated that Ol' Roy is the worst thing you can feed your dog. Just because a dog can live on it, doesn't mean it's healthy. Think about all the dirt-cheap generic stuff a human could live on... not getting a deadly disease is the least of your worries.

People just buy it because it's the cheapest thing available in the biggest bag.

So which is it, your Bernard lived 22 yrs in one post and 24 in another?

No one said anything about YOU not loving your dog(s), but the FACT remains Ol Roy is GARBAGE !!!!

Have a nice day !!!

I've been feeding my dogs ol roy dog food for years. And all have done extremely well on it. My bernard lived to be 24 years old and my boxer was 18. All passed from old age not from cancers or any other health issues...

They just announced ANOTHER recall on this brand a few weeks ago . . . I cringe too whenever I see someone buying it. I think it's made with what they sweep off the floor from when they're making other brands, cause of all the crap in it!

I CRINGE everytime I see someone with this in their cart....among some other brands as well.
