Reading stories to little ones is one of my favorite pastimes.  Not only do I enjoy the bright, colorful artwork and catchy verses, but I also enjoy seeing a toddler make connections, discover new ideas, and grasp subtle distinctions that the jaundiced adult eye often overlooks.  One of my new favorite books to read to my grandson is Oh My Oh My Dinosaurs by Sandra Boynton. 

The storybook features the enchanting artwork that readers expect from a Boynton book.  This book takes on the subject of opposites with a motley crew of dinosaurs illustrating the concept.  My grandson has several books...

Children's books are usually written and illustrated to endorse a specific lesson or social norm. One good example is Oh My Oh My Oh Dinosaurs!, a children's book by Sandra Boynton that teaches opposites.

This square- shaped book is made not of paper, but of thick cardboard and it offers a total of 20 pages. The main theme/lesson of this book has nothing to do with dinosaurs. Rather, the lesson is learning opposites.
