I like the HP 9800 Series. It offers good printing. The downside is the price of the ink.I love it and think it is awesome.Does someone have one they think it really good?

I got a Brother MFC-7440N multifunction printer about six months ago and really like it. It has a monochrome laser printer, color scanner, and can function as a printer, scanner, copier and fax machine. It prints clean documents and nice copies. And it's easy to use its scanner.

When I was looking, I made a point to check out the cost of replacement toner cartridges. A toner cartridge for most Brother laser printers is around $35, which is a bargain for laser toner cartridges. That's a big reason why I went with the Brother MFC-7440N and so far, so good.

I have a pretty thorough review of the Brother printer here on Viewpoints. That might give your husband some useful information.

I own my own business and my Brother Multifunction MFC-465CN works great.  It prints, copies, faxes and scans.  My only complaint is that it is a little fancy for little old me.  I'm technically challenged!  I love that I can do everything I need for my business from home and don't have to go to Staples anymore!  Click on the blue link if you want to read my review.

If you haven't picked anything up yet, I'd consider an HP or Canon all-in-one. Having only one device for printer/copier/fax saves a ton of space.

I like the HP Officejet J4580 All-in-one. It copys, prints, scans and even sends and recieves faxes. The print quality is very nice and the printer is small and yet effective. It is also affordable. I got mine for under a $100.00.  Very nice printer and great for a home based buisness. Something I had in mind when I bought it.

I own an HP OfficeJet L7680 Series, AIO and it works well for us.  We frequently receive faxes, scan (documents and pictures), make copies and do everyday as well as high-end printing from the unit and it has never let me down.  Print Carts. are one $15.00 a pop, except for the the Black, which retails for $19.00.

I have an HP C5180 Photosmart All-in-one. I have had it for almost 4 years now and its had no mechanical problems. I love that each color is a separate cartridge, it accepts different memory cards and doesn't require a computer. The only thing I don't like about it is the photo editing software that comes with it. When I first got it, I had Windows XP. I was ableto do so much, including reducing blur and adding special effects. However, when I got a new laptop with Windows Vista, HP did not support the software. Now I am left with Photosmart Express which does only the most basic photo editing. I would love to get a newer model, but hate to do so just because HP wouldn't support their software and when what I have works just fine. I guess that's how technology goes, though.

Alot of great reviews and advice and it makes life a little easier when thinking about my options for a printer and I have taken it all under advisement and thanks.
