When I send my kids to summer camp or my family goes camping I always bring this product. I prefer using this product on my children than traditional bug repellants because they contain Deet that I don't want my family's skin absorbing into their bodies. I find this product's scent to be more appealing than normal strong scented bug sprays. It's got the nice skintastic scent that most people are familiar with from Avon. I feel comfortable spraying this on my children's skin, clothes and hair to prevent bug bites and repel other irritating bugs. The other feature I like about this product is that it is a spray bottle. Since it's not an aerosol it's spray doesn't get out of control and we don't ingest any of it like with normal bug sprays bottles. I find this product to be effective in repelling insects and it gives me peace of mind that it doesn't have harsh chemicals when I use it on my family's skin.

I love this product. I tried others, and it seems the bugs are attracted to it. After trying skintastic I had no more bites on my skin, nowhere. I will continue to use this. Effectiveness Works wonders for me. I'm so glad it purchased this. Ease of Application Apply on the skin, and the mosquitos flee. Scent A very mild fragrance.

We use to go outdoors during the summer. In our area we have a danger of a Lime Disease, so you have to wear bug repellant all the time. It is not the most pleasant thing as most of the repellants are very greasy, smell bad, and generally toxic. I was looking for a less messy alternative over the years. I found Off! Clean feel. It is really stands out. I like the fact it is in the transparent bottle, so you can see right away what it is. It is very easy to apply and it does not have any annoying scent. It is scented, but that heavy. As far as being repellent, it works great. For my kids I usually apply it over their clothes and even then they do not have any bites on them. I would recommend this product as a cleaner alternative to traditional Off! sprays.

  Mosquito problems exist almost everywhere, but these small, blood- sucking insects seem to be more commonplace in warm, humid climates. I happen to live in such a climate and a product I have used to control the bites of mosquitoes is **Off! Skintastic**, in the pump spray bottle.   **Insect Repellant Commentary:**   Off! Skintastic is yet another version of Off!- the popular maker of insect repellent products. This particular version of Off! is formulated a little differently than others. It contains a lower percentage of DEET, which is the active ingredient that keeps insects at bay. It includes aloe vera so that your skin feels better and smells better. It is sold in a pump spray bottle that holds six ounces and it can be sprayed on the skin or clothing to keep insects away for about two hours per treatment.   There are actually a few different products that use the Off! Skintastic name, but the one I am referring to in this review is the Off! Skintastic for Family. I have purchased a bottle or two of this product in the past, mainly due to the Off! name and the emphasis on a "family" formula. I like that this product offers a cleaner scent and helps to soften the skin. These are nice, added qualities and they tie in with the family theme.   So, you get soft skin with Off! Skintastic, but what about its ability to repel bugs? Well, if you know anything about DEET, you know that this is the ingredient responsible for repelling insects. As mentioned above, Off! Skintastic has a lower concentration of this key ingredient. It contains only 4.75% DEET- several percentage points lower than other mosquito/insect repellent. And, as a not-too-surprising result, it is less successful at repelling mosquitoes than other forms of Off! Not only will it not keep determined insects away, each treatment is good for only about two hours. This isn't much time at all, and if time spent outdoors is significant, a single bottle won't last the family very long.   With credentials such as these, is there any value to Off! Skintastic? Well, it does make a good choice if the mosquitoes and other biting insects are fewer in number than usual. In other words, if you don't need a heavy layer of protection, then Off! Skintastic might suit you just fine, and leave your skin soft and smelling fresh at the same time.   **Bottom Line Viewpoint:**   Off! Skintastic for family isn't one of the better Off! products and consumers should strongly reconsider this product if they plan to spend time in a place heavily populated by hungry mosquitoes and biting insects. I find it less effective than most other Off! products and I can't recommend it when there are so many products available that work so much better.       Effectiveness Doesn't repel insects as well as others. I have very sensitive skin. I often have reactions to products. In addition, I am quite susceptible to mosquito bites. Something about me just attracts them. Off! Skintastic is absolutely fantastic. On a summer/spring evening, I spray Off! on my bare and covered skin. It does have a distinct smell, but it is pleasant. In addition, I feel that Off! made my skin feel soft, not sticky. Most importantly, however, this product really works. No insect repellant is 100% effective, but I receive signficant less bites when I use this product. In addition, my bites usually swell significantly when I do not wear insect repellant. The bites I do receive when I wear Off! are less red and large. As a result, those bites bother me much less. I appreciate this benefit of the product.

I bought this years ago, thinking that DEET is too harmful, and i wanted to try something safer. I got this for a trip to Hawaii, and didn't realize that the mosquitos there are vicious! At first I only lightly sprayed on the Skintastic, but kept adding more "layers" only as I saw many mosquitos everyone on the resort we were staying at. After 10 applications in 3 hours, I still managed to get over 30 bites! Not the best way to start off a vacation! We ended up going to a drugstore just to buy the more powerful DEET products to protect ourselves from the little buggers! It's about the same price as other products, so now i know to just get the other stuff. On the plus side, it did have a nice fragrance, and it did make me think that it was safe to reapply several times. And also, I assume it's safe to use on children, since it doesn't have DEET. And it seemed to wash off very cleanly without leave that plastic-y feel on the skin like other products can.

Several months ago, back in october; i went to a halloween party.  New to the area, i did not know what it would be like outside in these friends backyard.  well, i was not prepared for the worst.  once the sun went down, the monsters came out.  in monsters i mean the bugs!  the mosquitos were horrible.  i was instantly bit up and down and everywhere.  Swamp land and natural reservation area where not what i was used too.  Luckely my friends were prepared.  they knew what to expect and had several, i mean several, bottles of off skintastic on hand.  they must have had atleast 12 to 15 bottles of this stuff in the medicine cabinet.  everyone went running for the off and loaded themselves up.  I sprayed that stuff all over my body from head to toe.  i could not believe how well this stuff worked.  it was amazing.  i was already itchy from the inital bites but i never got bit for the rest of my evening.  now, when christmas rolled around; i thought i would be nice but funny and i restocked her cabinets full of off skintastic.  i also bought several of the off products for myself.  the best money ever spent.

I live in Louisiana where the mosquitos will pack you off if you're not careful.  Okay that's a bit of an exxageration, but the mosquitos are pretty bad down here.  Summertime is terrible for mosquitos and we're very careful to avoid them.  Off! Skintastic has been so helpful for us! Because of Off! Skintastic, we're able to outside and play with the kids in the summertime without the worry of mosquito bites.  Also, with two kids allergic to mosquito bites, it's proven it's quality!  Both kids were able to play outside all summer without a single worry of itchiness and swelling from bites.  It has also reduced the amount of allergy medicine the kids have had to take. We've tried lots of different insect repellants and we've had to be very careful about which ones we use because of the toxins in them.  Off! Skintastic is the first one we've found that we've been completely happy with and it will be the only one we use from now on.

Dear Friends,        I cannot praise enough the effectiveness of Off Skintastic.  It is by far the best I have used.  With 15% DEET  it does the job without overdoing it.  Though DEET has been shown to be non-toxic when used as directed, I am very cautious when using these products.    It is wonderful to have such a useful product and not smell like you were bathing in chemicals. Not only does it smell and feel nice, I do not get that burning sensation when applying it.    Previous to this product, I usually avoided insect repellents. Now I use it on a regular basis and enjoy the outdoors more.  Were it not for this product, after being outside a couple of hours, I would be all bit up!!!Most sincerely,Mr. Sam
