After abandoning the game for a decade following a life threatening brain injury, I was chided by fellow AA members to once again give the game a try, To noones surprise I was "hooked" again after only one round. But much to my surprise, my old Tad Moore mallet felt like a stranger. It was a struggle to even two, or even (God forbid) three putt a green once up and on.
Having been encouraged to check out the new driver technologies. While I was at it I decided to try a different putter as well. My first try helped some immediately. It was the arrow not the indian. But like the faux stromatic insert of the $15 putter by Prince I picked up on a whim at Walmart, continued improvement was fleeting.
So I broke down and bought, the "Lexus" of putters, a slightly used Odyssey from the Calloway used club outlet store.
Improvement was again immediate and lasting. I now almost effortless ly one-putt anything within a range of feet-not inches. Potential three -putts have turned into "gimmees". I am very pleased with the look, performance, and prestiuge of this great product.
