This is great product for when I am out tanning in the sun, but be forewarned. There is absolutely no SPF in this product at all. It is an oil spray that help facilitate tanning, but will not protect from burning at all. I do not burn very easily and I do spend time in the sun, but I do not always use sunblock. When I am at the beach, much to the detriment of my skin, I will sometimes use this product to help my skin tan better. It definitely helps my skin to get darker, faster. This spray gel is easy to apply. I just spray it on and then rub it in. Make sure to rub it in evenly though and get it off your hands. I have noticed that if I do not do it evenly, I tan a little weird and blotchy. That is the only issue I have found with this product. I recommend this product to only serious tanners who are willing to overlook the fact that there is nothing in this spray gel to combat the sun's rays. If you burn or have very light skin, this is NOT the product for you.

I buy this Ocean Potion Xcelerator Spray Gel with Instant Bronzer every summer! I do not use it in a tanning bed though, only outside. I think this spray gel works really good! I feel like it really gets you going when you first start tanning. Also there is not too much bronzed in it, it has just the perfect amount in it. It never leaves my skin streaky or orange at all. Along with a real tan from the sun, the bronzer really makes your skin the perfect color. I have no complaints at all about this spray gel. Effectiveness I believe this tanning spray gel works great. My skin is always left with the perfect glow from the sun and the light bronzer. Ease of Application It is very easy to apply this spray gel. I love that it is in a spray bottle because it is even easier to put on my own back this way. Of course, as with most bronzer I would recommend washing or wiping your hands off after applying. (But to be honest I have gone many times without doing so and my hands are never orange.) Scent The scent is great. It has the typical tanning lotion smell.

Ocean Potion is like magic botanical tanning lotion! I know it states it mainly for indoor use but Ocean Potion Tanning Xcelerator Spray Gel with Instant Bronze works perfectly for anyone looking to build a deep dark tan either indoors in a tanning bed or in the great outdoors. The Xcelerator's bronze is not too sparkly and will not leave you looking like goldfinger, it just leaves a nice bronze that helps reflect sunlight or the lights inside of a tanning bedmuch better than lotions or sprays without the bronzers added into them. I've always gotten a much better tan when laying out near the beach or by a pool and I think the bronzer kind of mimics sitting near a big body of water reflecting. It smells wonderful like coconuts! It is not a greasy and it Ocean Potion is perceftly safe to use in the tanning bed. It will not leave unwanted residue behind when you are done tanning. It lasts for hours! I love it, I would highly recommend this fantastic tanning Xcelerator to all of my friends!

My mom ordered this for me because I mentioned that I wanted to start getting a base tan going. She picked this one out in particular because she had heard me rave about how much I loved their sunblocks. This is actually a tanning lotion and not a sunless tanner. The instant bronzing effect is achieved because the spray gel lotion actually has a tint in it that gives your skin a glow. I didn't mind the bronzer too much but it did get on my clothes. The bronzing effect was achieved because it has a little bit of self tanning color in it and some glitter. The glittery particles ended up on my clothes that I wore. The lotion is a bit jelly like. It's actually a gel so that's to be expected. The spray nozzle helps you to spritz it on but you cant just spray it on and tan. It has to be rubbed it. I would prefer to just open the bottle, put in my hand, and apply but this does help me get the product on my backside easier so I can just rub it in and not worry about putting too much in any particular spot. All that aside, I did like the color this helped me get. I could tell I was getting more heat in the tanning bed and in the sun when I sprayed this on and rubbed it in. It did leave me with the bronzer look but it seemed to wash off mostly in the shower every night which was okay. The gel helped me get a bit of a base color going and it was okay for the price mom paid for it. Effectiveness It is an okay product. It's a little different from other lotions but I enjoyed it, especially as it was a gift. Ease of Application It could be easier to apply. The spray makes it seem more convenient but you still have to rub it in. Scent The scent is tropical, which I like. Longevity The bottle lasts a long time with this stuff. I had one bottle for about two months. The bronzing effect fades quickly after the shower and it kind of stains clothes a little until they are washed a couple times.
