I've been a fan of Ocean Potion since I was a kid. I've never been really particular about my sunblock but if Ocean Potion is on the shelf when I'm ready to grab a new bottle, it often makes it way into my beach bag. This lotion is the ultra light but I don't notice any difference in the formula from their other formulas. That aside though, this sunblock as my minimum requirement of SPF 50. The powerful SPF 50 helps block both UVA and UVB rays. The lotion claims it is anti-aging but I don't know really. I'm only 25 so I'm not very old to begin with. The lotions smells so good. It smells like an orange cake. It doesn't smell like a sunscreen at all. It doesn't have any chemical smell to it, thankfully. The lotion goes on so smooth and it's cold when it touches the skin. It is soothing to apply. I do notice this doesn't hold up well in water. I reapply to my face and shoulders every half hour to an hour just to be safe. If I'm just doing an outdoor activity, going to a game, or hiking then this stuff is great. It goes on smoothly, it smells great, and it has the comfort of SPF 50 that keeps me from getting scorched. I recommend this for kids too. My nephew has sensitive and pale skin so we apply this to him all over and he rarely gets a burn. I do hate to apply this to my face because it's tedious but it's worth it for the benefits it provides. I just wish it had better waterproof action. Scent I love the scent. It smells like oranges. Absorption I have to rub it in a bit but it absorbs and doesn't leave me with streaks. Longevity This depends on how you use it. It doesn't do well in water but it's great on the land. Effectiveness The SPF 50 protects me where I need it most. Ease of Application It's easy to apply but hard to get to my back. I usually have my boyfriend apply it for me.

I love all Ocean Potion products & have been using them for years, although it is becoming harder to find unless I purchase online. Although I usually don't use one with such a high SPF of 50, I purchased this for my boyfriend. He absolutely loves it. It goes on non-greasy and smells delicious. I've used it too, when I know I will be out at the beach for long periods of time. I still use my other Ocean Potion as well and I think this is one of the best products around. They are non-greasy, PABA free and never tested on animals. A win-win situation in my book. Scent smells delicious! Effectiveness no burn when using this product

OMG this is THE best sunscreen ever! I've tried all other brands-Banana Boat, Coppertone, Hawaiian Tropic, etc-and I finally discover Ocean Potion in Nicaragua of all places! No greasy, oily residue: no more worries about touching things after application and getting other things greasy, it blends really nicely into your skin, not quite like a lotion but the closest I've found. It's lightweight so I almost forget I have it on. Lovely fragrance: not too strong, not too sweet, not overpowering, just pleasant. Great protection: was in the sun and water for over 4 hours straight and I didn't burn, which was wonderful since I burn fairly easily. Scent Not too strong, not chemically, not too sweet. Faint and pleasant. Absorption No oily, greasy residue! My beach clothes didn't feel as tacky as with other brands. Longevity I usually have to reapply around the 2 hour mark or I burn. I forgot the first time and after 4 hours, I was still red-free. Win!

Ocean Potion Sunblock is my favorite. I prefer the continuous spray option versus the lotion for its easy application, especially on little ones that squirm when trying to work in lotions. I also like it because it is not greasy on my skin at all. My first experience with this sunblock was while we were camping. Not only did it do a great job keeping us from getting burned by the hot summer sun, but we all were in love with the smell. It smells just like an orange Julius. It is a citrus-vanilla smell that is pretty much heaven. This is also a downside too. All too often the smell leads to more unnecessary usage...especially when camping because no one smells yummy when hanging around a campfire. Even my children love the smell which makes them coming to get more on pretty easy. The cost is a little high (but comparable to most sunblocks.) This summer I will for sure be using this product again.

Living in the Southwest, where it's sunny nearly every single day, we go through a lot of sunscreen. We've tried every brand, even store brands, but we now only use Ocean Potion. I particularly like the Anti-Aging SPF 50 Ultra Light, especially for our winter sunscreen. It has a smell that reminds you of a 50-50 bar - doesn't smell like regular sunscreen, but fresh and somewhat fruity. The sunblock goes on easy and light, not tacky, and leaves your skin soft. I have no trouble getting my kids to reapply this, which is very important since they are redheads. I personally use the Anti-Aging ultra light for my face, neck and chest in the winter, when I am more covered up, and have no issues with clogged pores or breakouts with any Ocean Potion product, including this one. As a melanoma survivor, I also know it is important to use the sunscreen during the year in which you buy it - it will not be effective otherwise. We readily use Ocean Potion because of it's coverage and the non-sunscreen scent.

This product appeared FAULTY! We used this sunscreen LIBERALLY on a family vacation in southern California. We were very disappointed and all came home from the beaches with burns. Our family switched to a number of other sunsreens including those of: Neutrogena, Trader Joe's brand, and Banana Boat and had no issues. We wanted to review this product for the safety of other vacationers! It does NOT WORK. Very disappointed and would not waste my money on this product again.

Ocean Potion has a delicious scent and provides excellent coverage. My husband and daughter are both fair-skinned, so we use a lot of sunscreen. My husband will only buy Ocean Potion, because he knows it works on those hot summer days working out in the yard or playing at the beach. However, Ocean Potion stains clothing, especially white! My husband's t-shirts have permanent orange stains around the collar where the sunscreen on his neck rubbed off onto his shirt. Ocean Potion's sunscreens work; just don't get it on your clothing.

 When I bought Ocean potion, I was very concerned about how it smelled and felt on my skin. In my opinion it almost smelled like Fruit loops which made me want to wear it more often because it was so sweet smelling. It doesn't have a greasy texture either, it smooths on your skin like lotion and lasts a long time. During the summer I would wear it every day and I only had to actually put in on twice a day, because I spent so much time outside. Even when I would spend an hour out in the water, I would only have to put in on a couple of times to prevent me from burning. Ocean potion really works well. I haven't gotten burned, since I began using it a couple of years back. It's an amazing product and it's smells great.
