Another type of mindless computer game I really like to play is the hidden object type. They are games where there is a list of objects that are hidden in the picture on the screen and the user has to find them.
The best series of these games I have found are the Dream Day series. It started a few years ago with Dream Day Wedding which was a hidden object game featuring Robert and Jenny, a bride and groom. The second game in the series is called Dream Day Honeymoon and again features Robert and Jenny on their island honeymoon.
The object of the game is to find all of the objects on the list which are hidden in the scenes displayed on the screen before the time runs out. While this is happening light island type music plays if you want. The music can be turned off so the game can be played silently.
The scenes are attractive and fun to look at. Some of the scenes are the honeymoon suite, the lobby, the courtyard out front of the hotel, the beach, tiki bar, underwater, and several others. There are a certain number of objects to be found on the screen and when all are found the round is over and there is a matching game to play.
The only thing I dislike about this game (which is the same with all of the Dream Day games) is the goofy story that goes with it. Every few rounds there is a story that must be endured where you can choose from three actions that tell of a honeymoon adventure. Basically you choose which direction the story goes in. I could do without that but find that I can click past it quickly and get it over with.
5 stars. Despite the goofy side story thing, I really like playing the Dream Day games. They are mindless but some of the objects are hidden so well that it is challenging to find them so I have to use one of the clues provided to find them all. It is appropriate for all ages and is very relaxing. I like to play this one before I go to bed to relax my mind.
