My husband and I needed to buy a new mattress, after only 2 years of our old mattress - which we hated from week 1, so we started by looking at pricing and reviews on the web.   (It's actually kind of hard to find mattress reviews).  We were thinking about getting a Sleep number bed - and found them on sale locally (50%+ off - I guess Sleep Number is not going to be selling "retail" anymore, but will have their own stores?) - We were able to find a Cal King for $1900 out the door - which is a great deal for that bed, but then decided not to go with a bed with parts that may need to be replaced or could break - (air pump, chambers, etc.) and also because the great deal bed did not come with a 30+ day trial period.  So, back to looking.  I had heard about Sleep to Live beds from our local retailer SLEEPCITY (Northern California) - and the computerized system that helps select your bed type.  We went to SleepCity, and did the computer analysis - then tried the bed....Sleep to Live Series 500, "Green"....  All I can say is Oh. My. God.  This bed is soooooo awesome.  The salesman was great - no hard sales.  We checked the lower models 200 and 400 - but found they could not compare to the 500.  (There are one or two "higher" models - my husband tried the 600, but actually liked the 500 series better.....thankfully, because the 600 model was yet another $1000 more!).  Well, we had intended on spending maybe $1500 for a mattress (not needing the box spring) - which I thought was a pretty high price anyway.  Well, needless to say, once we got on the Sleep to Live bed, there was no going back.  Forget Serta, Simmons and Sealy.  Hopped on a Serta for a few minutes (more in the price range that I thought was ok), hubby said no way.  Also tried the much-raved-about Tempurpedic....yuck.  So....worked out a deal - ended up $3,500 poorer in cash, but richer in the end, because we sleep so well.  This price was also for the box springs.  This bed is TOPS.  I don't know what's wrong with people that have posted negative reviews.  Alot of the people giving bad reviews seem to have something bad to say about "Sleepy's" - which we do not have here in N. Calif.... I went on to Sleepy's website, and strangely enough found different models of this bed, different prices and different warranties - so maybe they are buying "seconds" from Kingsdown, or refurbished beds.???  Our bed came with 60 days in home trial, plus A 20-YEAR NON PRO-RATED WARRANTY.  If you are in Northern California, SleepCity is top-notch - with many industry awards.

It's only been two nights that we have slept on this cloud, but we are in heaven.  Our necks and shoulders are not throbbing....this bed is way softer than our last one - which is great - all along we thought that bad backs needed a firm mattress.....not true.  We could not have made a better choice.

I'll try to update this after a while.  (I think the photo I uploaded is the 400 series, but looks very close)
