I have weak nails that often break. Just as I get them all one length, one will break and, slowly, they will all end up chipped or broken and I cut them to the quick and start over.

Sally Hansen is the brand I usually look to for nail strengtheners but I decided to go with OPI Nail Envy Natural Nail Strengthener, Soft & Thin this time.

My Use

I have been using this for around a month. I applied the strengthener as directed to my clean, dry nails. The finish is matte and makes for a good base coat. It dries extremely quickly and then I can apply colored polish, clear topcoat, or nothing at all.

OPI Nail Envy is the best nail strengthener I have ever used. I was never able to grow my nails out because they are so soft. It always seemed like as soon as they started growing out any at all I would bend them straight backwards (very painful) and they would eventually tear. I also had a problem with a couple of my nails peeling apart, meaning the top layer always peeled off. But using this product as directed, two coats on the initial application and another coat each day there after I have grown strong beautiful nails. I also now use this as a base coat before applying a color on my nails. I know it is alittle pricey for nail care but it is definetly worth the money. And it comes in the pro wide brush so you need fewer strokes and it is much easier to cover your nail without mess ups. It is hard to find but I order mine online for a better deal! Great product!

My husband tries to give me really considerate gifts that he knows I will love.  One year for my birthday he gave me a manicure/pedicure basket.  This thing was full of goodies.  Nail files, pumice, four or five nail colors, and this product, OPI Nail Envy Nail Strengthener.  I had never tried this product before and was skeptical.  I frequently paint and repaint my nails, averaging approximately 4 manicures in 2 weeks.  After the first two weeks of wearing this strengthener, my nails had been completely transformed.  My nails used to peel and crack, break at the slightest pressure.  After using this product regularly, I no longer have that problem!  It leaves my nails strong and smooth.  Also, my nails used to be quite discolored at times, depending on what brands of nail polish I would wear.  I apply this under my polish and it serves as a great basecoat.  No more discoloration.  Love this product.

I am a nurse, so I had resigned myself to the fact that I would never have long nails and the nails that I do have would continue to chip and to peel. My attitude chhanged after I tried OPI Nail Envy Nail Strengthener! I am finally able to grow my nails and I don't have to constantly cut my nails because of chips and peeling! I have always loved using nail polishes and color on my nails, but I hate when the nail polish chips or my nails break.  This OPI Nail Envy Natural Nail Strengthener is a great product because it really makes my nails stronger and the polish seems to last longer when I used this.  I like that the product goes on easy and smooth and doesn't feel like a greasy or oily mess.  I first dried and cleaned my nails as instructed and applied one thin coat of the strengthener.  The product dried quickly and didn't clump or peel at all.  I used this as a basecoat for my OPI nail colors and the polish went on great over the strengthener.  After just one use my nails fel...

I am a college student and so I don't always have time to do my nails. But I will agree on one thing for sure, I can not stand having flaky, thin nails that are prone to breakage. Even if I don't have my nails painted, they at least have to be healthy! OPI nail strengthener not only strengthens my nails but also makes them look polished because it does double duty and leaves a shiny top coat :)

I have started growing my nails and I really needed to strengthen them.

I had heard lots of great things about O.P.I. so I decided to try it.

I have been using this for a few weeks now and I have had great results. I have really seen my nails go from minimally weak to really strong.

I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for a great nail strengthener from a great ,well known brand.

I bought a bottle of OPI nail envy nail strenthener when I started college, approximately 9 years ago. Well, I found my bottle again and began using it. It works just like the day I bought it!

I use just the original formula and it is just spectacular. I always feel like I have acrylic nails on when I wear it because my nails feel so thick, shiny and STRONG! Usually my nails are so weak and thin that I can bend them backwards towards my finger and they don't break. However, when I use Nail Envy, they are strong and beautiful. I am always amazed at how fast my nails grow out when I wear it. My nails hardly ever chip, break, or anything if I continually keep nail envy on them. But once I stop using it or forget to reapply after a couple of days... BAM broken nail. I do love this stuff because it gives me the nails I can't have naturally. Well worth the price!

I got this OPI Original Nail Envy Nail Strengthener when my sister gave me a bunch of her old nail polish. It works fine but it is yellow now. It does not yellow my nails but it does yellow in the jar. The OPI Original Nail Envy Nail Strengthener seems to work just as well as it ever did I was just surprised at how it aged. I do not know that I would offer it to anyone since it is so off color now. The OPI Original Nail Envy Nail Strengthener works great on nails and is a good idea to use even when one is biting nails or has soft nails. It dries fast and extends nail polish wear. It as a great base coat to protect your nails from coloring and a great top coat to protect them for wearing off. It extends nail polish wear which is very nice when you go to all the trouble to paint your nails or pay to get it done. It does run a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and it has lasted me forever so you have to keep that in mind as well.****

Great for damaged nails.

I recently removed my acrylic nails. Of course my natural nails were extremely weak and thin due to the damage I allowed. I needed something to help strengthen them. I bought OPI Original Nail Envy Nail Strengthener. I works great for damaged nails!! It definately has strengthened my nails. They are still thin, but are much better than if I had nothing on them. I will continue to use OPI Original Nail Envy Nail Strengthener even after my nails have grown out and all of the damaged nails are grown out. I would recommend not gettig acrylic nails to begin with, but if you do OPI Original Nail Envy Nail Strengthener will greatly help repair and strengthen your nails if you do. In conclusion, I'm glad I found OPI Original Nail Envy Nail Strengthener when I did.

I have very, very weak and brittle nails.  They are constantly breaking, so I am often looking for a good product to strengthen them.  OPI Original Nail Envy Nail Strengthener definitely does what it promises.  My nails don't break near as easily when I apply the product, plus they have a nice shine to them.  However, the product seems to peel off my nails really quickly, generally within 24 hours of applying it.  I have tried applying it in a variety of ways (more coats, less coats, shorter nails, etc.) but nothing seems to make a difference.  So while I like the effect of the product, I don't like having to remove the polish every other day and reapply it.  That is a bit too time consuming for my life, so I am continuing to use the product but much less frequently.  I'm keeping my eyes open for a different product that will serve the same purpose and hopefully not peel off in the same manner as the OPI Original Nail Envy Nail Strengthener.

Miracle polish! Keeps my nails from tearing.

OPI nail strengthener is a great product. Not only does it last longer than other polishes (this trait extends to the entire OPI nail polish line) but it also really does keep my nails from breaking. OPI nail strengthener goes on smooth and dries quickly so I don't have to spend much time applying (and reapplying) the polish. After application, my nails look shiny and healthy. The polish provides a protective coat from the dings and snags that happen to my nails daily. When I wear OPI nail strengthener, my nails feel like an entirely different material. I don't have to be afraid to use them which is a wonderful feeling. While I usually wear this product by itself, it also works well as a base coat or a top coat when I feel like wearing a color. As a base coat, it protects my nails from staining and keeps my nails looking good. Though this product is typically a little more expensive than others, I would totally recommend it!

As a nail treatment, Nail Envy is wonderful. I use to have thin nails that broke easy. I had really breakable nails, they would easily peel back and I just couldn not grow them at all.  My nails used to be thin and peeling.  This has helped my nails grow and maintain them. I am an avid nail blog reader and always try my best to take good care of my nails, keeping them healthy and looking good. After trying a lot of different polishes with nail strengthener in it, I tried OPI Original Nail envy right after christmas in 2010. I was immediately happy with my purchase, although it was somewhat expensive. the brush tip is wide and very easy to use. the polish looks off-white in the bottle, but does not appear milky on the nail. the directions say to apply 2 coats to the nail and then apply one coat every other day after that. I am so happy with the growth of my nails. It does not seem to be extremely fast, but somehow it does make my nails look longer and more elegant within days. I would think this is a must if you are trying to grow out long nails. I now use it on all my manicures as a base coat, and i am also very happy with the wear. it seems to do a very good job extending the life of a manicure.
