I have always seen O.P.I. nail products, but never really knew anything about them.  I saw that the price was more expensive, so I just stayed away from it and continued using my regular brand.  Then, I received a professional manicure at a salon, where the manicurist used O.P.I. nail polish.  That was it.  I will now use NOTHING except O.P.I. Nail Lacquer.  After seeing the difference between the cheap nail polish I used to buy, and the durability of O.P.I., I understand why it's used in salons.

First of all, have you seen all the colors available through O.P.I.?  WOW!!  The selection is amazing.  And they're always coming out with new lines.  A new Fall 2008 line came out called The Designer Series, and it contains Diamond Dust.  Now, tell me that doesn't sound chique' and durable!  The colors are spectacular too.  A little bit of the shades that we've always used, and also some very different color shades that I love.

I was just at the store, and they have out holiday colors that are just gorgeous!  The names of the holiday colors are:  Girls Just Want to Play, Red Hot Gift, Little Red Wagon, Rosy, Mistletoe-sies, A Ruby for Rudolph, Don't Toy with Me!, Sheer Your Toys!, You're a Doll!, Glamour Game, Brand New Skates, Baby It's "Coal" Outside!, Play 'Til Midnight.  The colors range from reds and Burgundies, to charcoals and blues.  I really like the grey and silver colors, because they're something a little different.  There is also matching lip colors for some of the more traditional colors in this line.

Aside from the selection of colors, O.P.I. is so great because of the way it wears.  With the cheaper nail polishes, I'm lucky if the polish lasts a day.  I'm really rough on my hands.  I do a lot of cleaning at home, and filing at work, so my nails come in contact with stuff all day long.  When I use the O.P.I. Nail Lacquer, the polish stays on my nails and doesn't chip.  The polish looks just as good at the end of the day as it did at the beginning of the day.  That's why I don't mind paying the extra for this brand.  It lasts longer, so it saves me the time of having to re-do my nails, and also money because I don't have to use as much of the product.

So, I'm sure you're wondering the cost.  Well, as I said, O.P.I. is more expensive.  Today, at the store, I paid $ 8.50 a bottle.  I know, it sounds like a lot.  But think of how long a bottle of nail polish lasts!  And also, keep in mind that you're purchasing a product that is top of the line and much more durable than any other nail polish out there.  The shades are unique too.

A bottle or two of O.P.I. Nail Lacquer would fit nicely into Christmas Stockings.  I know I wouldn't mind receiving a few bottles of it on Christmas Day!

You know I forgot about the Sally's Club card. My best friend Lori has one and I am always seeing her get major discounts. Hmm...I need to invest in one too because I am a lover of polishes and sometimes I can even get some of my really nice shampoos/conditioners there. Thanks for the heads up Ms. Meri ;+)

If you have a Sally's Beauty Supply store near you purchase a club card for $5. You will be amazed at how much cheaper you can buy the polish for then. I buy China Glaze polish which is like $7.99 a bottle but with the card I save something like $2.79 per bottle... It all adds up.

My BIL is an internationally known nail artist (not Bryan's side) and he swears by this polish and it's products.

I did a review on this way back and yes, O.P.I. is the greatest. I think "I'm Really Not a Waitress" is a pretty color for the holidays. Whenever I don't want to purchase O.P.I. I will go after Sally Hansen products. They are also good.
