1973's O' Lucky Man stars Malcolm McDowell and several well known British actors (and some up and comers) in a nearly 3 hour modern re-telling of Pilgrim's Progress (with a few references to Candide). At times the film meanders and it strains credibility, it's a bit dated in spots and it's satire and cynicism in regard to British life might not connect solidly with American viewers.
