Best bone for dogs by far

5

This is the only bones my dogs have ever liked. I remember buying this bone for my first dog almost 20 years ago and I've continued buying them since. My three current dogs will chew on them endlessly throughout the day. These Galileo bones will last for months, if not years. It is also the only bone that I trust my dogs to have unsupervised. I will always choose the Galileo bones over rawhide bones because they are not a choking hazard and are much easier for the dogs to digest. I worked at a doggy daycare for years and I always recommended this bone to costumers. Never once did anyone not love this bone!

Best Chew Toy Ever for Aggressive Chewers!

5

We have had a few Labs in our home over the years. Each one of them loved this bone. They chewed happily for very long lengths of time. It was, hands down, the best toy I ever purchased for a Lab. Upon 1st sight I could not believe a dog would like this bone, but it was love at 1st bite. One of our Labs carried it everywhere with her, even to bed. This is a heavy bone that, when dropped on hard floors, will make a loud noise! And you would not like to step on one that has been chewed as some dogs will chew it to a point! Although some folks say it is indestructible, after a lot of chewing, my dogs would use it up. They would go though 2 a year. I believe it helped keep their teeth clean. It certainly occupied them for long stretches of time. We found out that rawhide chews are not the best dog treats as they do not ever digest. So, a biscuit and a Galileo do the trick! Now we have a smaller dog, about 30 pounds, and she loves her smaller Galileo bone as much as the Labs loved their very large ones.

Great for aggressive chewers

5

I've got dogs that will chew rocks or logs if they can't find something else hard to chew on, so the Nylabone Galileo is perfect for them. They stand up great to aggressive chewers, and while I do have to replace them every so often, it's not nearly as often as I have to replace other so called tough chews. This is one of the few things I will leave in the crate with my pit bull because I know she can't destroy it. Not in the amount of time she's left alone anyways. The only con for me with the Nylabone Galileo is that you don't want to step on it barefooted. It hurts! And it's a little noisy if they drop it on your hardwood floor. I would caution people who have dogs that like to shake and toss their toys around to be very careful with these, as they would probably easily break a window if the dog were to fling it at one. Overall, I'd definitely recommend these to dog owners with aggressive chewers.

Long lasting bone

4

We bought this bone knowing our puppy needed to chew and obviously didn't want her to chew things she shouldn't. When we first bout it she was a little unsure of it but once she reaized she could chew it it really kept her occupied and satisfied the need to chew. After a while she did seem to become a little bored with it. I think that although it fufilled her need to chew and excercise her jaws, it wasn't like other bones that she could "eat". It is made of edible material but it is meant for only these tine, rice like pieces to come off in order for the dog to easily digest them. At first i was a bit disappointed because this wasn't cheap. To my surprised a month or two later, we reintroduced this bone and once again she is enjoying it and it really helps keep her occupied in a positive way. She is a dog who does enjoy chewing and it does help her burn excess energy therefore I do recommend this bone to those dogs that need to chew. I don't think however that this is a bone all dogs would enjoy. I believe it is definately meant for the powerful chewers and it definately has kept our dog from chewig things she shouldn't (we have heard some horror stories about dogs chewing furniture).

Lasts longer than 95 % of the toys I have purchased.

This bone lasts a very very very long time... even with aggressive chewers & power chewers like mine. These are great for Labradors, Huskys & Anatloians. My dogs really got alot of chews out of this. It even washes easily. Well worth the money but as with any toy, you should monitor your dog while chewing for safety sake. Much safer than a rawhide and would definately recommend to any dog lover looking for a durable toy.

Nylabone Galileo bones are the best for my dogs

5

I have three dogs, all of which are aggressive chewers. Two of them will destroy a rawhide in a matter of twenty minutes, while the other is uninterested in them entirely. Strangely, he loves Nylabones. They're appealing to all my dogs, which is a big plus, and it is much cheaper to keep them in Nylabones than rawhides and other chews. They will spend up to a couple hours a day chewing on their Galileo bones, and if they were to each have one rawhide every day, that's only twenty minutes of activity for them. If I left rawhides out constantly, two of my dogs would gorge themselves and probably wind up sick, with me broke because I spent all my money on bones. Nylabones are the perfect solution for my dogs. They're also less inclined to get excited over these than other chews, so they don't even consider getting snippy with each other over them. So when I have three bones available, and they all want the same one, I don't have to worry about them getting too excited and causing problems. The only downside is they tend to get dirt from the floor stuck in them, and can look pretty gross after a few weeks. The pits and chewed out spots make them hard to scrub clean. The dogs definitely don't care!

different from other nylabones

4

This nylabone is different from others. It lasts longer and seems to hold my dogs attention longer.  It can be more expensive than others but with the others I was always afraid with their design my dog can shred threw them and what would happen if she got a lot in her stomach (my dog has chewed threw metal and drywall).  This bone seems to not shred as bad as others.

Our Dog Loves It!

3

Our 4 year old golden retirever has got through a lot of bones in her live. We never like to buy her real animal bones, because those can get ugly. We have tried numerous different nyla bones, and she has loved them all (and she is very picky, mind you!). We recently purchased this one, and I'd have to say, she probably loves it the best of all. I do too. All of the other bones quickly get prickly and rough, but this one has stayed in pretty good condition for a while. I always hate stepping on her other bones, because they scratch my foot, and sometimes even tear my sock. But this one, even when touching my skin, does not hurt as bad. Now, don't get me wrong, it is still a nyla bone, it will start peeling and what--not. But of all of the bones that we have gone through (which is a good number over 50, i would say) this has got to be the favorite of me and my family, which included my wonderful dog. Definitely try it out.

Galileo Nylabone for Big Chewers

5

WIthout a doubt one of the best choices for large dogs that are aggressive chewers.    In a variety of sizes,  the "Petite" for your smallest friends,  the "Wolf" size appropriate for medium dogs and the "Souper" size is appropriate for big dogs, this bone is made from heavy duty virgin nylon and moulded in a shape designed to offer maximum strength.  Safe to leave with an  unsupervised dog as all the dog gets off of the bone is tiny little chips/shreds of nylon that do not constitute a swallowing hazard.  Choose the largest size your dog can comfortably hold in his mouth in order to derive the greatest dental benefit. Some dogs have trouble initially recognizing this as a chewy...to get them started you can apply a thin layer of peanut butter or other lickable sticky to encourage them to chew on it.  Can be readily cleaned in your dishwasher or by hand with soap & water (using an old toothbrush works well to easily clean around chewed bits.     Lasts for months even with dedicated chewers.  Throw away and replace when bone is small enough to constitute a choking hazard for your pet.

Perfect for my dogs that love to chew!

5

I have always like Nylabone products whenever I have a puppy because puppies are notorious chewers.  The Nylabones always provide a nice, safe, clean way for the puppy to chew and for me to keep all my furniture and shoes in tact.  I discovered the Nylabone Galileo when I was pet sitting a puppy and was so impressed.  The puppy loved to chew on the Nylabone Galileo.  It kept him occupied for a long time whie he chewed and chewed on it.  It looks like it would last forever, even though the puppy was chewing on it for long periods of time.  I also like that you can wash it off easily and it doesn't leave a mess like some other bones or rawhides do.  I would recommend this product for anyone with a new puppy.  Even though it's a little expensive (when I went to do research on it for my own dogs), it's worth it because it lasts so long and seems like it's indestructible like the Kong dog toys.
