I take a lot of pills for a condition I have. I absolutely hate it when I have to add yet another pill. So, I loves me my NuvaRing! When inserting, it's supposed to be near the cervix, but it can migrate anywhere and it still works. I can't feel it. My husband can, but it doesn't bother him. It's never come out as a result of sex. I've never gained weight on it.

I have forgotten to take it out once and left it in a week too long. No problems. That's the only thing for me. It's easy to forget it. Every ring comes with stickers you can put on your calendar to remind you when to take it out and put it back in. As long as you look at your calendar, you should be OK! :)  But it's such an easy form of birth control! Just remember once a month and you are set! Good for the lazy set! (me)

I've been on many different types of pills and the only one that didn't have a side effect was Micronor, the pill for breast-feeding mothers. You need to take that at exactly the same time every day. It's inhibiting to wonder about if the timing was perfectly right. I went on Depo-Provera (the shot) I gained 40 lbs in 6 weeks. Barrier methods can ruin the mood for me.

The box has three in it and needs to be kept in the refrigerator. I incur three co-pays at once which is the downside. I would definitely stick with the ring, if we weren't going for something permanent.
