I am what some people describe as a "pet food snob".  I refuse to feed cats or dogs food that contains sketchy ingredients like by-products, "meat meal", or the carcinogenic preservatives BHA and BHT.  The problem is that I also run an animal rescue out of my home so I always have 10+ cats/kittens to feed each day.  While I'd love to feed them a raw diet or one of the super-premium cat foods available, the reality is that I'm just a teacher and don't make enough money to afford the really expensive stuff for so many animals.  I use Nutro Natural Choice Indoor Formula Dry Cat Food as the main...

I met this lady in the PetCo store when I was looking for cat food. She told me about this great cat food that was vetinary recommended, didn't have animal by product (head, feet, intesties of poultry), chemicals for preservatives, no ground corn, no artificial anything AND she showed me a Poop chart. Out of 100 lbs of food the store brands produce 78 lbs of poop!! And with the Nutro, the poop produced is only 38lbs!! And she told me it had a urinary tract heath guarantee as well as a skin and coat gaurantee. Their motto, Eat Less, Poop Less, Shed Less; basically God in a bag. So, with the guarantee...

I am also what some people describe as a picky person about cat food.  I try to feed my cats food that are free of by-products, "meat meal", or the carcinogenic preservatives BHA and BHT.  The problem is that I am disabled, on a limited income and feed 8 cats/kittens to each day as well as meet their medical needs and help others spay/neuter as well.  While I'd love to feed them a raw diet or one of the super-premium cat foods available, the reality is that I just don't have enough money to afford the really expensive stuff for so many animals.  I use Nutro Natural Choice Indoor Formula...

I ADOPTED A CAT WHO WAS IN FRAGILE HEALTH. SHE ONLY WEIGHED 4#S AND HER FUR WAS FALLING OUT. I DIDN'T THINK SHE WOULD SURVIVE BUT DECIDED SHE NEEDED A WILLING HEART AND AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW ME WHAT SHE WOULD BE LIKE IF HEALTHY.
AFTER GETTING HER HEALTHY ENOUGH TO EAT DRY FOOD; I WENT TO THE PET SUPER STORE AND BOUGHT THIS FOR MY INDOOR CAT. SHE HAD BEEN FINICKY TURNING HER NOSE UP AT THE ROYAL CANINE AND THE CANNED FOODS SHE HAD BEEN OFFERED.
SHE SEEMED TO TAKE TO THIS IMMEDIATELY AND I HAVE KEPT HER ON IT THE PAST YEAR.
SHE IS NOW UP TO 8#S AND IS VERY HEALTHY.
HER EYES ARE SPARKLY AND CLEAN. HER...

I have been using Nutro for several years.  We have 9 cats and this is one food that they all seems to enjoy, which is a plus.  It is a challenge if you have to feed different products to certain cats.  From the time I started using Nutro I noticed a difference in the litter box odor.  It seems that less by-products and fillers equals less litter box odor.  That fact alone keeps me going back to Nutro even though it is a little pricey when you are feeding a crowd of 9.  Some pet food store can sign you up with a frequent buyer program where every 11th bag is free.  Note:  PetSmart does... review »

I used to feed by pets Friskies Dry Food from the grocery store. My cats were overweight and eating constantly! I found a link to a coupon for a free bag of Nutro on a freebie site one day so I got them a bag at Pet Smart. I am in love! The main ingredient in Nutro in protien, rather then the cornmeal, etc. that cheaper brands use as filler. My cats have shinier coats, eat less because its more filling and their litter box is actually less stinky. It's a bit more expensive then cheaper brands, but I believe it evens out in the end since they eat less. There are almost always coupons on the Nutro... review »

I have a long haired cat that has always had hairball issues.  Also, recently my cat had a very bad episode that led us to the vet.  He was hacking like he does when he has hairballs, but there was a lot of pain and pain cries that he was having.  We had to rush him to the vet and they were unable to put an exact cause on what happened, but the Vet highly recommended we change his food to Nutro b/c it was very healthy for him and sensitive on the stomache.  On top of all that, it also has reduced his hairballs.  It is a great choice for pet food and I highly recommend it to other cat owners.... review »

I think that this food is great.  I feed it to all my cats that live indoors.  It is nice to know that the food has no by-products and has all the nutrients they need.  Plus my cats love it.  I had recently rescued a cat and started feeding her Nutro.  She has sinced lost weight (she was big when I got her) her coat is now softer and the vet says she is much healthier now.  I think that the quality is well worth the price to keep my cats happy and healthy.

I have 6 cats: 1 has a heart condition, 2 have sensitive stomaches, 1 breaks out in hives when eating most other brands of cat food and another has a history of bladder stones; as you can imagine, finding one kind cat food that would work for all 6 was quite the task. My very picky cats love this food and it seems to agree with everybody's stomach/skin/bladder/heart. It is a little pricey, though. Overall, I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to feed their cat quality food.

I bought this food for my dog because, as a puppy, he was prone to digestive problems.  This food cleared up his stomach aches (he no longer whined after eating) and significantly reduced the number of bowel movements he was having with the lower quality food.  I also noticed that he had more energy and a shinier coat.  It is NOT cheap, however- so be prepared to spend more if you decide to switch to Nutro.

I love this product!  I used to use Pro Plan and decided to switch over to nutro after a Petsmarts associate talked to me about this product.  I could tell that my cats have a healthier and shinnier coat.  They have less hairballs and stool smells a lot less.  It might be a bit costly, but my cats enjoy the taste of Nutro brand food better.

As a first-time cat owner, I researched ingredients to look for in cat food.  No by-products in this cat food.  It must smell yummy to my cat, because the first couple times I brought it home, my cat would tear into the bag, even though other food was in the bowl.  My cat even learned to open the pantry door to tear into the bag.
