real salt taste, 54% less sodium than table salt

My significant other suffers from high blood pressure.  He also loves salt.  The result:  something had to give.

He loves salty foods, and I swear he could live on pepperoni, hot dogs, sausage and other high sodium foods. He salts his fresh tomatoes and slices of watermelon.   Short of going on a very restrictive diet, there is not much you can do about processed foods.  You can, however, take a step in lowering your sodium intake as far as the "salt" you add to your meals.

That's where Cardia Salt comes in.  It has real salt taste and contains 54% less sodium than regular table salt.  It comes in 4 ounce shakers and is very convenient to place on the table.  I don't even buy regular table salt anymore.  The product also contains potassium and magnesium, which are essential minerals.  Because it contains potassium, it should not be used by persons on potassium restricted diets unless approved by a physician.

Cutting hubby's sodium intake by 54% on the "extra" salt added to cooking and fresh foods has made a difference in his high blood pressure.  He has fewer spikes in his blood pressure and he really likes the taste and results of this product.

The product is inexpensive at about $2.99 for a 4 ounce shaker.  The only con is that it is not sold locally.  I order it online and order four or five at a time to save on shipping costs.  Since this is not something that will spoil, that works just fine.  He just lets me know when the cardia salt is almost gone and I order some more.

I would recommend this to anyone who is trying to restrict their sodium intake to assist in maintaining healthy blood pressure levels.

Wow, I've never heard of this but I am going to find it. Thanks for this healthy tip! I don't have high blood pressure but I do like salt on my tomatoes and watermelon too! :)

This must be different from Sea Salt which I thought was supposed to be better but the sodium in it is the same as regular salt. I too like salt but do without not because of blood problems now but just trying to play it smart. I will have to check this out...Thanks! ;)
