Most HelpfulI started on the Nutrisystem plan in May of '06. By July of '07, I had lost 90 pounds -- from 320 to 230. I had set a goal of 170, but often thought I might change my goal to 160 so I could one day say that I had lost half of myself.
BUT.....then I started to eat a bit of this and a bit of that, so...

Terrible customer service. They can't seem to get things right, and then they only want to give a partial refund even when the customer never received their order. They don't want you to cancel, and as one customer service person said, "it normally takes 7 - 10 days to get the credit (partial refund)" after scores of calls about not receiving their order. Don't try calling upper management. Executives will not reply and lead supervisors are EXTREMELY rude. They follow a script and no one THINKS. You will be penalized if you cancel out of frustration because they make the same mistakes...
review »The Nutrisystem diet plan will make you lose weight. I lost 10 lbs the first month I was on the plan, which I was very happy with. The key to the plan is that you are eating about 1000 to 1200 calories a day. Personally I would rather count my calories and lose the weight instead of subjecting myself to prepackaged, vacuum sealed foods that don't have to be refridgerated (I had a huge issue with meat that you stored in your cupboard).
By the second month I couldn't take the food anymore. I will admit that I am a picky eater, but I can usually just pick out the things I don't like. ...

The NutriSystem program is amazing! The food is convenient and if you follow the plan and exercise you will lose weight. However, the food is not good at all. I think the advertisements are misleading with the quantity and quality of the food. They show 2 helpings on one plate and the color is completely different, it actually does look good. But when you peel back the plastic cover over your meal you see something completely different. Losing weight does not have to taste bad. NutriSystem is a great platform in helping with weight loss, teaching you portion size and label reading. If you...

I have been on the Nutrisystem weight loss plan for almost 8 months and have lost over 50 pounds on it. My husband has lost 64 pounds.
We love the simplicity of the plan. We get breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert entrees that do not require refrigeration and add our own additional protein/dairy, fruit, salad and vegetable items to it.
I tried Nutri System favorites for two months about a year ago. Using the food brought my diabetic A1C down to a 5. I did not try to use it as a diet, although I needed to diet too, but I don't like to keep track of what I eat. Now my A1C is crawling up again to over 6.4 points so I decided to use Nutri System again. This time I am determined to diet, but so far I have only eaten more food since I got the order. I don't know what to do with myself, so I guess I will have to try the counseling also. I tried some last time, but I didn't want to do what they recommended, so it was my fault...
review »I had spent the previous two years trying all kinds of diets and exercise plans. I could keep my weight steady on them but never lost any. I had all but given up on diets until my mom showed me the Nutrisystem. I was on it for only two months and by four months I had lost 20 pounds. It is the greatest system. Most of the foods are good. The main thing that I liked the most about this program is that it teaches you how to eat so that when you eventually get off the plan (because you dont have to continue indefinatly) you dont gain all the weight back. This is amazing and I would reccommend it to...
review »I have used Nutrisystem for a couple years now--at first religiously, now not so much. The food, which largely was good when I started (with the exception of the tuna casserole), has gotten even better. Its a bit pricey but there are good discounts for regular purchasers, and now there is a weekends-off version that is, of course, cheaper.
The program offers tasty food in controlled portions (portion control is often a huge problem for die-hard dieters). Most of it is really good. The chocolate is good but tastes vaguely vitamin-filled. The chocolate cake mix is amazing (I add a bit of extra water...
