The Nutrisystem diet plan will make you lose weight.  I lost 10 lbs the first month I was on the plan, which I was very happy with.  The key to the plan is that you are eating about 1000 to 1200 calories a day.  Personally I would rather count my calories and lose the weight instead of subjecting myself to prepackaged, vacuum sealed foods that don't have to be refridgerated (I had a huge issue with meat that you stored in your cupboard).

By the second month I couldn't take the food anymore.  I will admit that I am a picky eater, but I can usually just pick out the things I don't like.  Most of the food has some sort of sauce on it, supposively to make it taste better.  The sauces were disgusting, even the tomato sauce which is very hard to make taste bad.  It ended up that the only foods I liked were the breakfast foods, most of them were good.  For me I like the taste of food too much to be on plan like this for very long.

When you do the plan you are buying packaged food from the company for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert.  In addition to the food you buy from them, you have to buy dairy and fruits and vegetables to suppliment the plan.  For me it became to expensive to eat foods that I hated everyday.

i agree... i tried this for about 3 months, until i fell off the wagon and put the food in the dumpster. i couldn't get past that "fake-y taste" that lingered in the food, and that "meat" that did not taste natural. yes, i lost weight, but it is now all back and more, which came back almost immediately. guess now i'll try going back to weight watchers, or use this plan and just eat ww smart ones foods. I found that just about all of the nutrisystem dinners amounted to about 5 ww points and the lunches 3 or 4. if i stay within those ranges of points per meal, i'm good to go!

I could not agree more! I once said that the only reason people lose weight on this plan is because they can't keep the food down! It was sooo gross. Kudos for sticking with it for a month. I think I gave it 3 days before I sent it all back.
