The five star rating barely covers it!  Is is good for you?  Hardly, but taste alone is worth every possibility of a decline in your health.  Nutella is a mainstay and widely used in European homes and restaurants, and I discovered it in Italy of all places as it adorns… read full review »

Nutella. Nut, what? Yes, you heard me correctly, Nutella. Have you ever used it? My current nanny (and former nanny) tell me it is the German version of peanut butter. — KIND OF. Their description is a bit of a stretch. Nutella is a Hazelnut spread that you use on bread,… read full review »

I went back to oregon for Christmas. While there my daughter, who is 11 begged to go to the grocery store with my fiancee, my mother, and me. So upon storming the isles and taking in how much different Oregon is from Louisiana, my daughter grabbed Nutella off the shelf and asked if she could have it, swearing i had to try it and giving me puppy eyes. My fiancee ofcourse bought it for her. When we got home we opened it and i tried it for the first time and was plesantly surprised. This product is wonderful! my kids all love it and they prefer it to jelly. I now keep it stocked in my… read full review »

Nutella is loved by everyone in my house, so much so that both my daughters have to have their own jars.  One of them always sneaks in with a spoon causing the other one to freak out and refuse to eat  anything out of that jar.  So I solved the problem by buying and labeling the jars with their names.  Now these aren't little kids we're talking about they are 18 and 20 years old. — We use the chocolaty nutella on everything.  We microwave it for an ice cream topping, use it in sandwiches, to dip strawberries in, on toast, crepes, or just out of the jar with a… read full review »

Is Nutella practical? Absolutely not. Is it truly one of the great snack foods? You'd better believe it. It's creamy, chocolaty, and the hazelnut flavor is just to die for. Is it a health food? No, not really, and some would say it's too high in sugar and fat, but spread it on  some white bread, some pound cake slices, and you have yourself a truly delectable, yummy treat. Add a cold glass of milk and you're in heaven. Spread it between 2 sugar cookies, and just sit back and… read full review »

About eight weeks ago a friend introduced me to Nutella.  I was at her house and gripping for something sweet, esp. something chocolatey.  She offered me some Nutella.  My life changed forever that day.  I think we have gone through about 7 jars since then.  — — My family likes to eat in with sliced apple as a fruit dip.  It says it can be used on breads, but we enjoy it with the apples so much we haven't strayed from that yet.  — — It really isn't the healthiest of choices with its 11g of fat, and 190 calories per 2 tbsp(a… read full review »

Nutella is one of those products that not everyone knows about even though it's right on the shelf next to peanut butter. It's similar to peanut butter as they have about the same calories and fat, and it's creamy like peanut butter. However, Nutella is made from hazelnuts, and is made with chocolate, so it's creamier and sweeter than peanut butter. — — I first discovered this creamy spread from French class, when they made crepes to raise money. Europeans LOVE this stuff, and there's a good reason. It's great on bread, croissants, plain cookies, crepes, etc. It's rich and creamy… read full review »

I am a hazelnut fanaticand as such have been a Nutella fan for years!  When I was younger it was very difficult to find.  I would have to get it inspecialty stores or when I travelled to Europe I would bring some home with me.  Now it is on the grocery shelf and much less expensive than it used to be.  I even find coupons for it in the paper occaisionally. As for uses...they are endless.  In addition the basics, like toast or on croissants...I have used Nutella on popovers, as as a filling for cookies, as a base for a cream pie and of course, just with a spoon out of… read full review »

Nutella is the Cadillac of toast spreads.... it puts peanut butter to SHAME!  It's that combination of chocolate and hazelnut that puts this right over the top.  When travelling through Italy it was often served to us with rolls for breakfast.  It's decadent and rich, but a nice treat every once in a while.  — And it's not just a breakfast food.  You can cook with Nutella and do a lot of different things with it.  We had it as a filling in our wedding cake!  — If you haven't tried it, run out and buy it NOW! —… read full review »

I first encountered Nutella in the late '90s when I lived in Germany. A lot of people seem to think it is German, but the company that makes it is actually Italian. It is good in very small doses, I like a little on a saltine or a half a spoonful straight every now and then. The Germans I lived with could it the jar in one sitting, but it is a bit too rich for me. The texture, however, is impressive. It is so smooth and velvety. It is terrible on pancakes! Our local Wal-Mart stocks it now, so I think it might be starting to take hold here in the… read full review »

OH MY GOD... When my boyfriend, who's European, showed me this, I thought it looked kinda gross.  As an american, I'm used to peanut butter, not this black goo in a jar. — — When you're wrong you're wrong.   This is the best tasting stuff EVER!!! — — It's tastes like the smooth hazelnut and chocolate filling in a ferro roche... you can eat it out of the jar, put it on toast, heat up a crossiant and put it on there, make cookies with it... anything. — — It is addictive, tho. —… read full review »

The first time I tried this was over 20 years ago.  One of my Aunts brought it back from Belgium.  Back then, it was the only way to get it.  I was very sad when that jar was gone.  THEN, the most amazing thing happened.  It appeared on the shelf of a health food store.  Then in the grocery store.  — It is rich and creamy and oh so tasty.  The best way to eat it is on a spoon straight out of the jar. :) —… read full review »

First of all, I love this product.  But you should know that despite being advertised as a healthy breakfast choice for children, about half of the calories in Nutella come from fat (11g in a 37g serving, or 99 kcal out of 200 kcal) and about 40% of the calories come from sugar (20g, 80 kcal). You should try Nudossi, an originally East German product, still available in the former East German part of reunited Germany. —… read full review »

Nutella... Mmmmm!!!  Chocolate & Hazelnut - a great combination!  I love this stuff spread on toast, on crossiants, on biscuits!  Yeah, I'm also a carb-lover.  Try making a banana/nutella sandwich for breakfast!  The only odd thing about the spread is that the oil separates over time so it pools on top.  But that doesn't change the flavor any. —… read full review »
