I can't get it back to together without leaking!

My daughter loves straws and so I thought this would be a nice addition to our sippy cup collection. I read the instructions and removed the straw for the first washing and since then I have not been able to assemble the cup back together so that it does not leak. Great for temporary use. Impossible to keep clean.
