Nuby Straw Sports Cup Sipper Reviews

When I first discovered the Nuby Straw Sports Cup sipper it was after testing 3 sippy cups and you would have thought I discovered gold. My son absolutely loves this sippy cup but I don't feel the same as him. 

First, the straw part is easily to be chewed by a toddler that is teething so it creates a bigger hole than is intended and this leads to leakage. In my opinion, that defeats the purpose of a sippy cup. I find this to be the biggest drawback of this sippy cup as well as you are unable to purchase a new clear straw insert so you are left with a cup and ring with no viable way to replace...

The Nuby Straw Sports Cups were a good idea.  They are good shape and size for little hands.  We also liked the idea of using a straw instead of sucking on a sippy cup like a bottle.  We really thought this would be a positive step up from the sucking sippy cup, but still be spill proof.  It was spill proof and working great for my two toddlers, until they strarted chewing the straws.  They ended up chewing right through the plastic valve in the straw, therefore, making it able to spill everywhere.  What a mess!  Also, the straws were hard to keep clean.  We used a bottle brush, but they...

These sippy cups are good transition sippys. The nuby sippy cups work well for little hand too. They are easy to hold. However ... they leak about a month after you  buy them. So I went through many of these ... which becomes expensive. If you don't mind buying a lot of them they are good for first time switching.

My daughter loves straws and so I thought this would be a nice addition to our sippy cup collection. I read the instructions and removed the straw for the first washing and since then I have not been able to assemble the cup back together so that it does not leak. How frustrating!
