Nuby No-Spill Drinking Cup Review Summary

The Nuby No-Spill Drinking Cup is described by reviewers as “good for the younger stages when you’re trying to wean baby off of the bottle.” Designed with a soft silicone spout, similar to the Nuby Baby Bottles, the Nuby No-Spill Cup creates an “easy transition” for those babies who don’t want to give up the bottle. Because of this special spout though the Nuby No-Spill Cup receives mixed reviews. Between toddlers chewing and regular washing the Nuby Spout most reviewers state the spout will last about a week, with no replacements sold. Once toddlers begin to chew on the spout, the Nuby Cup “doesn’t withstand toddlers that like to chew on things.” The price is cheap and the Nuby Cup works well for transitioning babies to a regular sippy cup, but you probably won’t use the cup for long. Nuby's No-Spill Sippy Cups are a easy way to transition baby from bottle to sippy cup.

The silicone spout is similiar to the Nuby's bottle nipples.  They feel the same.  This is great for those babies/toddlers who don't want to give up the bottle.

I have had many children in my daycare who have transitioned...

AHHH, the Nuby no spill drinking cup. This was one of the first cups we bought for our daughter. At first it seemed like a great cup, i loved the style and that my daughter could hold it easily. And the label said leak proof so that was major plus. So we bought it and let her use it. The lid would not... read full review »

The Nuby Gripper Sippy Cup was perhaps a great idea that came up woefully short. One would expect a cup for such an age group to perform up to specs, but this thing just causes a bigger mess. This is hardly what one needs for a young child since they are quite capable of creating their own messes without the help of such a product. The lid to this cup simply does not stay on like it should. If you do manage to get it to stay on, it appears that you can never get it to stop leaking. If after getting it successfully on and not leaking, forbid it that your child should drop it. If he does then pop...

My child was having a difficult time transitioning from the bottle to a sippy cup. He just couldn't get the hang of sucking through the top. I saw the Nuby cups at Wal-Mart and decided to give them a try. My child accepted the  cup right away. Because the silicone top is soft like a bottle nipple, the cups are easier for children to learn to use. The only negative I've found is that my child chews on the top and causes the vents to tear causing leaks. I've had to buy several replacements since we started using them. I wish Nuby would sell just the silicone tops so I didn't have to purchase...

I love the Nuby No-Spill Drinking Cup. My daughter has been using this cup for a few months now. It was very easy to get her off bottles by switching her to it. It is great because they hardly ever drip or spill.

This was the best thing for getting my daughter off the bottle and into sippy cups. The nipple is just shaped a little different but it's still soft and comfortable for them to use.

I never had any problems with it leaking...until my daughter chewed off the top! I had only bought one and so when she chewed it up I didn't have an exact replacement. I gave her a traditional sippy cup with a hard plastic top and she took it just fine.

I never did go out an buy another one...it sort of served it's purpose and was no longer needed.

They are cheep...I bought one for just a little over $1.00.....I'm glad...

I first heard of the Nuby sippy cups from the pediatrician, so I thought I'd give it a try with my 1 and 2 year old toddlers.  At less than $2 per bottle, I was surprised at how economical they were.  I loved the fact that they came in various see-thru colors.  The nipple was also an easy transition from baby bottle nipples.   Unfortunately, these nipples do not last very long, especially if  you have a teething toddler.

To my dismay, in a matter of days,  both my children bit thru the nipples, so the sippy cups were no longer "spill proof".  I tolerated the cups a little...

The Nuby sippy is a very good product in theory. We were looking for a transitional sippy cup to help our daughter with being weaned from her bottle.  I did a lot of research trying to find the best methods that most parents used and came up with using sippys similar to bottles. I then did research to find a sippy that most closely resembled my DD bottles or a nipple. The Nuby early sippy cup was exactly what I thought I was looking for.  It resembled a bottle nipple and was soft, it was also affordable and I could go to walmart and pick it (as apposed to a specialty store).  Once we got this...

I LOVE NUBY!!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter HATES bottles, all she has to do is see one and she freaks out.  I've been breast-feeding, and it has been impossible to go anywhere without her. I couldn't leave her with her grandparents for more than a few hours because she wouldn't eat out of any bottle we tried.  Then a miracle occurred, my neighbor told me about her son's sippy cup. She said he really liked it, so went and bought one.  My daughter didn't cry once! She started drinking from it right away, and held it for herself!!!  She's been doing so well with it that I can finally  go back to work!!!!...

I would suggest this for any parent who is serious about taking their child off a bottle, yet don't buy and keep buying for the older ones with teeth who like to bite and chew on things.  I have seen quite a few children who has adults around them taking part of them keeping and continuing to give/allow to use and some have even choked on the nipples they bite off these.  So, PLEASE!, don't give or get another one once you notice ur child is doing this.  I myself would rather have my child than a "convienant sippy cup".  Don't say it if you haven't really thought about it in "Safety Matters!"... read full review »

These are great when you are trying to transfer your child from bottles to cups. My daughter is 8 months old and for the past month has been trying to get her 2 year old brothers tippy cup. The only problem is that she hasn't gotten the concept of how to drink from one. So I bought her one of these and she drinks from it with no problems at all. The only problem I do end up with is that my son now tries to drink from it, sometimes I catch him and other times I find it empty after I just filled it with juice. And I love that I dont have to go looking for those dumb pieces that go in the other type... read full review »

With my first child the Nuby No-Spill Drinking Cup was one of the first cups that I tried.   Being a new parent and not having a lot of help or pointers from anybody, I didnt know what to use.  I thought that it would be a great cup.  Spill Proof, that was a plus!  Easy to grip, thats good.  Soft top, easier transtition from bottle to cup...  Well thats what I thought. Unfortunatly he chewed the top off!  Spill Proof... no more!  That was the last time I uesd this cup.  He had no problem going to a hard top "sippy cup" after that.

We used this cup and other Nuby products to transition from bottle to cup.  We used this at night when we weaned off the bottle and my son took to it immediately.  It was so easy and we were off the bottle within a week.  I would highly recommend trying this kind of cup for the same reasons.  After some use the tip for drinking did split and it was no longer spillproof.  The fat short cup with handles my son threw on the floor and the plastic split but I would still recommend this cup for transitions because it was a miracle worker!!
