Nuby No-Spill Drinking Cup —
I first heard of the Nuby sippy cups from the pediatrician, so I thought I'd give it a try with my 1 and 2 year old toddlers. At less than $2 per bottle, I was surprised at how economical they were. I loved the fact that they came in various see-thru colors. The nipple was also an easy transition from baby bottle nipples. Unfortunately, these nipples do not last very long, especially if you have a teething toddler.
To my dismay, in a matter of days, both my children bit thru the nipples, so the sippy cups were no longer "spill proof". I tolerated the cups a little while longer only because they were so cheap and I was able to buy several of them. These cups do not have extra nipples, so you would have to purchase a whole new one. Also, the nipples have very small grooves on the inside where milk or other liquids tend to collect and they are almost impossible to clean out even with a brush. I use to scrub so hard that I even punctured the nipple itself and it still wasn't clean!
All in all, purchasing these nuby bottles was a waste of money since I was continually replacing them. Now, I have more quality sippy cups that I spent more money on and these have stood the test of time, so far. (I'm actually using ones made by Gerber.) And I am always on the look out for great quality sippy cups that my children will love!
