An associate of mine, that is a breeder of top obedience dogs, highly recommended giving my dogs NuVet Plus vitamins. I also bought a bottle for my mother to give to her 13 year old Dachshund. My 2 year old Chihuahua and my 1 year old Papillon have show improvement since I started giving them the vitamins. Now, I am assured that they are getting 100% complete nutrition between the Canidae and Natural Balance food that they eat and the vitamins. The vitamins have helped with skin allergy issues, shedding, and an improvement in their blood work. My mother's black and tan Dachshund, Annie, does not have dandruff for the first summer in 13 years. Every summer prior to her taking the vitamins, without fail, Annie would be covered in white dandruff. Our wonderful Veterinarian could not find any health problem that caused it. It looks like she basically had a nutritional deficiency that was causing her skin to get extra dry during the summer. The vitamins have improved her skin and coat and now we can't find a flake of dandruff on her! These vitamins are worth the money. The money you spend on the vitamins could help you save on vet bills for preventable issues down the road! Here is the website: http://www.nuvet.com/default.asp

In response to anony's comment from Jul 24, 2009 at 1:26PM:

My 14 year old dog had fatty tumors and it did shrink them from about a quarter size to about a dime. They told me in the beginning that since all dogs are different it may help one more than another. Though it did take about 2 months to see the results I do consider NuVet amazing. I will forever be a customer

I ordered the NuVet tabs to help dissolve fatty tumors in my three dogs. The pills did nothing. When I called to cancel the order, they told me that the new order had already gone out & when I put "return to sender" on the package, I was going to receive a refund for only 80% of the product.

They told me that in order to show any improvement in my dogs, I would have to double the dose. This means that I would have gone through a 90-pill package in two weeks. No thanks!

My advice is to not buy anything from this company!

A Canadian company, Naturally Nova Scotia, makes supplements from foods instead of synthetics. The have vitamin C from fruit, herbal tinctures, green drinks, vitamin D3, and others.

I totally agree with the comments that Rebeccalestat said in her review of NuVet Plus. I also feed my dogs CANIDAE all life stages dog food, which I consider to be one of the best foods you can buy. The breeder who I purchased my Cavalier King Charles Spaniels from made it mandatory if you wanted to buy a pup from her to use NuVet Plus, (at least you had to buy one bottle) but that to me was a sign that these vitamins and minerals were the best. I use the meal form, because my dogs wouldn't eat the tablets, but I have had no problems with my dogs health at all, but they have been on it since they were puppies and one still is a puppy. A++++ to NuVet Plus
