Quick View: Whatever compelled me to buy this contraption? This "bra" doesn't stick and I found myself searching for my boobs all night. DO NOT believe the claims that this expensive silicone strapless bra will magically stick to you. It won't.
Full View: I had an event to go to and the top I was wearing was low backed and cami strapped. No bra seemed to go with it without showing the back or straps. Then I saw Nubra Bra Silicone Bra. It was totally strapless and supportive. It used adhesive to stay put and look 100% natural. On TV anyway. Then I got it and the fun began.
The Nubra Bra Silicone Bra
This bra is really two smooth silicone cups with an optional extender to hook in the middle. There are no side or arm straps. No straps anywhere. You need to rely on the built in self-adhesive that is supposed to activate when you moisten the rubbery silicone cups. It is available in nude and black. I bought nude. I WAS nude when I tried to wear this thing, at least on top. It would slip and fall right off. What a joke.
This is the official hype: NuBra Silicone Strapless Bra NuBra Silione Strapless Bra features smooth, comfortable self adhesive silicone cups that are invisible under sheer garments. Nu Bra is not a filler or enhancer. It is to be used for true cup sizes for strapless dresses and low backed tops. The front closure may be used to create cleavage and lift.
My Rather Disturbing Experience
Obviously, if you offend easily about women talking about their bosoms, please click off now. OK, everyone is still reading. That's good. The Nubra Bra Silicone Bra seemed like the solution to my wardrobe problem. I wanted to look very natural without any straps or hooks showing. I never even really thought about what I would wear under my very fancy top when I bought it but no convertible bra seemed to work. I saw the Nubra on TV and quickly ordered it with rush shipping. On TV, women were jumping around, dancing, and living life with no worries that their rubbery, strapless bra was going to fall off. Well, let me tell you, this thing does not stick! It's was hellish.
I got the bra in C and it fit fine as far as slapping a couple of silicone cups on my breasts. I chose not to use the extender hook and to apply each one on separately. BAD IDEA. If I had used the extender, at least both of my boobs would have fallen off at the same time. I moistened the inside of the cups as instructed and slapped them on. Hmm. They were slightly sticky but not enough to stay on when I moved much. I walked around the house to see if I would lose the cups and they felt slippy but didn't fall off. I had no time to worry about it because the event was the next day. I figured once I got my somewhat figure forming top on, that would help hold the Nubra in place. When I did get dressed, I liked the look. Natural with no straps to bother with. If someone bumped up against me, they would feel nothing but soft silicone rather than lumpy bra material. Cool. Or, uh, not.
At the event, I was OK as long as I didn't move. When I walked around, all I could think of was the Nubra and whether one of the cups was going to slide down. They didn't! They fell right the heck off! As I walked, I felt a pop and one of the cups fell RIGHT OUT OF MY SHIRT! I can't explain to you what I felt like but, luckily, no one was looking that I know of. I picked up my right boob and ran to the bathroom. I fixed the adhesive by moistening the cup again and then I fished in my purse for the extender. I decided to use that to hold the bra in one piece and maybe keep it stuck on. NOT. The thing would slip and slide and I would end up catching it as it slithered down my torso. I finally gave up, whipped the thing off, stuffed it in my purse and went au naturale. I rarely go braless at my advanced age but that was better than sitting like a mummy or having people see my silicone cup thingies sliding out of my shirt at their feet.
My Viewpoint
I detest the Nubra Bra Silicone Bra! It is such a bunch of hype. Don't believe that you can run around with two silicone cups stuck to your tatas with just a splash of water to make them sticky. You WILL lose your bra if you move around. The bra is heavy and your body can't possible hold onto it with just a tiny bit of tacky adhesive. It's inane and I am mad at myself for thinking the stupid thing would work for me. You can stick the cups in a real bra if you want to boost your size a cup but that's about all these silicones pillows are good for. I was so furious about the whole thing that I tossed the Nubra out when I got home. 1 star. Don't believe the hype because that is ALL it is. Pure hype.
