Nonie Darwish, the daughter of a Muslim Shahid (martyr), grew up living in Egypt and she has a few things to say about terrorism, culture, freedom, and religion. She grew up in a repressed culture where men are allowed multiple wives and can physically beat their spouses if desired; where economic conditions are poor with little hope for improvement; and where the public is spoon- fed a daily diet of outright lies about other nations, particularly about Israel and the United States.
