I'm not one to take suppliments or any kind of medicine for something as simple as heartburn. I'd rather it surpass on its on. But I had it really bad one time so I needed to go out and get some medicine. I went with maalox only because I had a coupon for it making it free. But it was priced at 4.58. In my opinion it's not worth the money. It has a strong minty taste and it's cool going down. I guess that's to give the feeling that it's working. But it doesn't. It tastes nasty and doesn't relieve the heartburn for more than 2 minutes. After two minutes I was left with a tummy ache as well as heartburn. My advice, save your money and drink some soda water or something else to relieve the heartburn. Good thing I didn't pay for it.

As a frequent sufferer, often looking for something as a quick fix until my prescription kicks in, Maalox was poor to perform. The flavor leave a lot to be desired too. The advantage - they issued a great coupon making the purchase nearly free. Would not purchase again.

This Maalox Liquid relieves Heartburn 5 oz. bottle is a great product.  When I have heartburn, I feel miserable.  I am blooated, nauseated, stuffed, and all over just feeling lousy.  After a dose of this product, I feel as if my stomach and esophagus has been coated with a very thick, coatable liquid!  There are not very many items out there that help with miserable heartburn as much as Maalox.  The liquid seems to work faster and doesn't leave anu chalky aftertaste like so many other products do!  After just a few minutes after taking the product, I feel as if I have been relieved and it feels great.  I have recommended this product to many people and friends, and many people have taken my recommendation and tried this product also, and then told me that they loved the results. This product is often on sale, and in my opinion, it is a great value even if it is not on sale!  I feel this product is well worth whatever you spend on it!

We used Maalox for an unconventional purpose and it worked great! My daughter had a really horrible diaper rash, and my her pediatrician recommended that we use maalox to heal it. I am so glad that he did! This worked wonders. Within 2 hours, it was starting to heal.  At the time, she had a very bad stomach virus, and had horrible diarrhea. We were changing diapers every 20 minutes, and her butt was raw.  It was red, and the sores were open and bleeding. She was crying in pain, and desitin was not working.  We simply poured maalox on her butt and used a cotton swab to gently dab all the areas that had the rash.  We closed up the diaper and let her sit in the wet maalox. I was conerned about more moisture, but the doctor said that the maalox would cut the acid (just as it does in your stomach).  It was so awesome! I would never have though that this would work!  Apparentlly, when a baby has diarrhea, there is a lot of acid from their stomach coming out, so Maalox helped cut the acid, and helped heal her rash.  So, if you are looking to purchase this product for another reason or if you just have this in your house, please know that it works wonders on diaper rashes! Your baby will thank you!

I often have heartburn as well as my spouse and this is a product that we have used.  I'm not a big fan of this product because it seems weak.  For the amount reccommended to stop heartburn it doesn't do the job.  However it does seem to have enough strength to at least slow the process down and it works rapidly so if you have a minor heartburn pain then this product might do the trick.  I find that constant exercise is the best remedy for heartburn.  All the movement and jarring of the bodies can release the pressure and gas involved with heartburn.  If your heartburn is severe I would recommend seeing a Doctor and getting a prescription.  If your heartburn is minor and does not occur at frequent and known intervals than this might do the trick.  Maalox has been around for awhile and if their product didn't work I'd suspect they'd go out of business.  However I've not had great luck with the product.

Since I was a teenager I have suffered heartburn, acid indigestion, acid reflux, you name it.   I have been on  low fat diets, high fiber diets, every kind of imaginable diet to see if I could relieve my symptoms, but nothing worked. Finally, after undergoing all kinds of  upper and lower GI testing, Ct scans, and trying all sorts of medications, my gastroenterologist suggested I try Maalox Liquid since almost everything else had failed to provide me with long, lasting relief.   I tried Maalox Liquid several years ago, out of sheer desperation and with little hope that it would actually work.   But, lo and behold, After I took my first dose of Maaox Liquid I immediately felt relief from the burning sensation in my esophagus and throat.   The taste, in the beginning, was kind of yucky, but, when I noticed the change in my heartfurn, especially after eating, I decided this was the med for me.   I usualy take a tablespoon before lunch and another one before dinner.  This allows me to enjoy my meals without having to stop and take a sip of water (which I had been forced to do for over 30 years).  Sometimes I just take it as prevention, since it actualy relieves the heartburn pain for many hours.   Now it comes in different flavors, so I have several bottles in my fridge.

This is an axcellent product that works for me. I am fortunate not to have to take Maalox more than once or twice a year. This is due to the formulation of Maalox, which has always been my product of choice. The mix of Aluminum Hydroxide, Magnesium Hydroxide and Simethicone do the trick, and I do not have the concern of how it reacts with other medications, which is one problem that i constantly used to have with other heartburn medications. The alternative, Calcium Carbonate, upsets my stomach. I keep Maalox in the house in the first aid area. My faith in the product is such that if it did not work, I would end up going to the Emergency Room. They used to have a Swiss Lemon flavor that was great, but the mint seems to add to the effectiveness of the product.  My only complaint is that i wish they would sell this product in a smaller size, because that way I can take it with me whereever I go. And also the flavor is not the best, maybe they will come up with more flavors.

I have been fighting heartburn for quite sometime, especially after I eat pizza or spicy foods.   I have tried a lot of different thing, but Maalox seems to soothe my esophogus.  I get quite nauseated on occasion and have been to the doctor for it, but they don't know what it is, so therefore, I was taking other meds but they did not seem to work.  Maalox seems to work well.  I think because it is a liquid, it coats as it goes down.  I use it at night before I go to sleep because then I don't wake up with this terrible pain and taste. I would recommend this product if you are havin heartburn trouble because it really has helped me out.  There are other products that you can take like pills, but this works.  Also, when I drink the liquid it has a pleasant taste, not real medicine tasting.  I enjoy using this Maalox, because  it is the only thing that has seemed to work for me, and I have been battling this for over 2 years.  The nausea is not so bad when I take it.
