Positive: Kills fleas in about a half hour. You can actually SEE the fleas fall off dead. It works without fail. You do, of course, need to vacuum your whole house..EVERYTHING to get rid of all the eggs. This includes all shades, curtains, pillowcases..everything. This product is also safe to use with other flea medicine. You can still use your frontline, Advantage..whatever you use. You can also use it once a day for a week if you keep seeing fleas, where frontline and the such is once a month..no exceptions. Now the Negatives.
Negatives: This product only kills ADULT fleas. Any babies, eggs, etc will not be touched by this medicine. This is why it is recommended to use frontline with it, since frontline kills the whole life cycle of the flea. This also does nothing for Ticks. Again, frontline kills fleas and ticks. Another bad is that it is a pill. You cannot cut it up or mash it. it needs to be swallowed whole. Thankfully, there are lots of treats now that are made for giving pets pills.
If you need to get rid of fleas ASAP, like if you are moving into a new place and do not want fleas, I recommend capstar, as long as you are also using frontline. It works really fast, and always does what it is supposed to do.
