Nova Cruiser DX 4-Wheeled Walker —

If you have limited mobility and have been using the classic, clinical-grey aluminum walker to get around, have I got news for you!  The Nova Cruiser Deluxe Four-wheeled Walker is going to make your life a lot easier.

For those of us who are slowed down by injury, aging, or illness, a walker often makes the difference between staying at home and getting out in the world.  The standard hospital-issue walker is a definite help in that regard, but the constant up-and-down drag of the device makes it tedious and cumbersome to use.  By contrast, the Nova Cruiser Deluxe is a sporty walker with four wheels, hand brakes, backrest, seat, and basket that takes away your excuse to use an assistive device.

Easy to transport, the walker folds up quickly and is light enough to stow in the back seat of your car. The rolling design allows you to walk at your own pace without using extra physical energy to propel the walker forward.  In practical terms, that means that the less energy I expend using the walker, the more energy I'll have to devote to my activities.

The Cruiser has a  wide sturdy seat (300 lb. capacity) and padded backrest which has come in handy more often than you'd think.  For example, I can't count the number of times I've made it to the checkout line only to discover a long line of people in front of me.  I can start to feel my legs burning and ready to collapse if I can't find a place to sit -- pronto!  With the old-fashioned walker, I would have just lost my place in line and struggled to find somewhere to rest.  But with the Nova Cruiser, I can simply get in line, plop down on the seat, and take a load off until it's my turn to move forward.

Luckily, the walker is completely adjustable for heights 5'3" to 5'11."   At 5'10" I almost max out in the height department, but  I've never had any trouble with the handles being too low.   I adjusted the walker to its highest point, and it's worked fine.  No stooping, no sore back after use.

Finally, the wire basket is also a convenient addition to this walker.  It hooks onto the front of the walker and it is beyond useful when you need to carry a few things during your outing (or even in your house).

Overall, I love the design, function, and attractiveness of this model.  I purchased mine at Walgreens Drug Store for just under $200.  It comes in a few basic colors; I chose red.   When I have to use a walker, I'm glad that I have the Nova Cruiser at my disposal.

Isn't it wonderful?! I'm trying to talk my mother into getting one. She has arthritis and walking has become painful for her. Thanks for reading. :-)

I hope writing about it does help someone. I was so reluctant to admit needing any assistive device, but I was needlessly expending so much energy. Now I know that these are wonderful products to help you get the most out of life. Thanks for reading!

I'm so glad you are sharing reviews on mobility products. My Grandma went through a bunch with one leg and then the other amputated. She had the artificial legs, and she worked hard at learning to walk. She is gone now, but the whole fam tried to find the best products for her. She was the "glue" of our fam and greatly missed.
