Fairly useless and bad product design.

My mom received this as a gift and had no use for it so she offered it to me and I decided "sure, I'll try it". I opened it and it was red and kind of cute. But when you actually look at it, it seems like it's upside down or something. I feel like the cooking surfaces with the 6 little spots for the burgers should be switched, but I don't design these types of products. So, I got ready to use it, placed the burgers where they were supposed to be. The lock on the device did not work correctly. When I went to attempt to remove the burgers [and almost burning myself in the process] I realized they were not accurate when they said the product was nonstick. The burgers definitely stuck to the surfaces so I had to pry them out, they weren't very pretty. Also, the thing below it that catches the grease is a pain! It's awkward to get out and even when you wash it it still feels greasy. I decided this device would be better off in the trash can. Do not waste your money or if someone gives it to you as a gift kindly turn around a toss it away.

Completely fails and isn't worth the effort and clean up.

I received the Nostalgia Electrics All League Sliders Maker as a white elephant gift from work. I love sliders as much as the next person so I was pretty excited and a bit intrigued to use this. So I used it and let's just say I should have left it in the box and re-gifted it to the next person because this thing is pretty useless. First off the majority of the sliders stick to the form. When you try to get them off, the slider falls apart. Although it appears to be a nonstick surface, it sure as heck doesn't act like one. I would suggest spraying the top and bottom first with a cooking spray. Secondly, it's really difficult to clean. You have the little cup forms, small holes, crevices, and nooks and crannies everywhere. It just seems never ending! And because the meat sticks you do have to clean this good otherwise you will have dried meat left over on the machine. Lastly, the sliders themselves are really small. It seems to be a cute idea to make sliders for a party or for dinner, however it is in no way practical unless you want to spend the whole time making them and not actually enjoying them. One person can easily eat 2-3 of these. Since you can only make 6 at a time, you will spend the majority of your time cooking rather than eating and enjoying others company. I can see these being practical for children though considering they never finish their food anyway. It just seems more practical to make slidders by hand, throw 10-12 on the grill, and call it a day. This thing is not worth the effort and clean up.

My husband and I received this as a gift for our anniversary and I thought it was cute and would be great for our younger kids hamburgers.I opened the grill set it all up started reading the directions and realized this was not going to turn out well. The design of this grill is all wrong and i really thing it was put together upside down. There are round slots on the top that burger ends up in and its very hard to get them out from these slots. It should of been on the bottom and would of been easier to remove the sliders. The grease trap is a pain to get in and out and the type of material it is made out of is hard to clean and get the greasy feeling gone . The lid to the own never locked properly and would not stay closed. The utensils that come with this are flimsy and worthless. I have since thrown this item away and chalked it up to bad design. You get what you pay for and this was a junk.

Not worth it

I thought that this would be a great novelty item, but boy was I wrong. This was a Christmas gift to me and I definitely would not have bought this myself. First, I rely on brand recognition to give me an insight into the quality of the items that I purchase. Never heard of Nostalgia Electronics. That should have been the first warning sign for me. So, the sliders that they make are very small, not typically the size that you associate with sliders. The problem with this device is that cleaning is so difficult. The plates are not removable and there are tiny crevices everywhere. If you do not do a thorough job at cleaning, you will know during your next use because everything will stick to the plates. Even if you use Pam, there is still material that sticks and you do get a residue build up. You must scrub and scrub and overtime, you condition yourself not to use this item because of how difficult it is to clean. I rather make big burgers and slice it into smaller portions than make sliders.
