Absolutely the worst cruise experience I could imagine.

Norwegian Cruise Line - Star —
I can't fit every complaint I had about my cruise with NCL but there slogan "You're free to whatever" is a joke. It's more like the staff is free to whatever. Our room was at the end of the hall and all you hear all night is a toilet flushing sound over and over and over again and no one would change our room. The disembarkation took over 5 hours even after we stood in line to get a "time" to exit at 8 am we did not get off the ship until about 1 pm. The excursion we went on was a disaster, i was told it was an easy excursion but my family and I ended up injured and scared due to the staff's inefficiency. The specialty restaurants require reservations 24 hours in advance so you have to wake up at 8 am like everyone else wanting reservations only to get a busy signal and when you do get through their are no reservations available. They allowed people to eat in the formal dining rooms in their swimwear which is disgusting and annoying. i was told I could go to the chocolate buffet to take pictures before people started eating it and a staff member literally grabbed my arm to yell at me that I had to wait in line to eat. The staff in the dining room was wonderful but most others were clueless and just lied when they didn' t have an answer to my questions. The ship itinerary was hanged due to "scheduled maintenance" mind you I was supposed to be proposed to on valentines day but due to the itinerary change the whole proposal did not go right altough I did get engaged the plan was ruined. The only offering from ncl for all of the problems was a $200 credit for myself and my fiance towards a future cruise with ncl. what about the other 2 family members that suffered with us and why would i give them more money to ruin another vacation.Last edited on Dec 17, 2007
