this was my first cruise, and i really didn't know what to expect. what i looked forward to most were the ports of call, and this cruise had some nice one. zihuatanejo/ixtapa was really great in particular. the boat's amenities are average i'd say, and service was friendly. i've heard that other cruises have restrictive dining times and strict dress codes. norwegian had neither of these, which made the who on-boat experience much more enjoyable for me. the typical norwegian cruiser seems to be a little older than my age group (30's) it seems, and is quite family-friendly. however, if you're looking for a younger, more party-like atmosphere, this may not be the cruise line for you. although i enjoyed my first cruise with norwegian, i'll most likely try another company next time just to have a comparison. overall though, it was a good first cruise experience.
