We just made it back from Pride of America and i sure did beg the crew to take me around the block just one more time. For my first cruise i could not have asked for anything better. Our room was on level 9, Aft. It was perfect. No window, just a plain room, but we were only there at night. We ate aft, at the table out back which was picture perfect. The buffet was great each day and yes there was a line, but it moved fast and no, they did not run out of food. They also had a buffet out side that you could eat also. It was great. Hardly ever a line. We did try one resturant, the Lazy J and it was very good also. The shows were funny and good, they had games that were great and it was just a very relaxing time.
If this is your first cruise you do get very tired cause you are trying to see and do as much as possible. By Thursday my hubby gave up on me and stayed on the boat and rested while i saw the sights and shopped....lol
The only thing is yes, right in the middle of the ship it did smell sometimes, so i would not get a stateroom near the middle toward the front. Also they have NO Dr. Pepper, which my hubby, at the first port went out and bought some and brought them back to the ship. Yes you can bring cokes on, but no booze...hmmmm, not fair...lol. But that saved us a bunch of money having our own cokes.
Oh, i would check out the local shore excurisions when you get there. We found some at the ports from the locals that were cheaper and better than what the cruise line had to offer. But we did book a few from the ship and they were good also, just expensive *S*
In all this was a great cruise, the scene was wonderful and yes i would do it again on NCL and have already booked my next cruise *S* yea yea yea
