Norwegian Cruise Line - Pride of Aloha Review Summary
The Pride of Aloha got mostly negative reviews. Moldy bathrooms, food that was “always cold and tasteless”, and rude employees lead one reviewer to say that she “Would never recommend it to anyone!” Not exactly high praise. We have lots more
cruise line reviews. Take a look!

This was our first cruise. We wanted to see all of the Hawaiian Islands and not have to change hotels. The cruise allow us to do that. However, it was not a fabulous cruising experience. Some examples to illustrate ~~ One evening at dinner in the most expensive restaurant on ship, I asked the waiter for salt and pepper as none were on our table. The other tables did have the shakers, so I thought that it was an oversight when the table was set. However the waiter informed me that I did not need it, the chef seasoned everything perfectly. Lunch…

I can understand why this ship has been sold if all its outtings were as I have just experienced in May 2008. Never have I had such bad food. After 9pm it was almost impossible to even find any food unless you wanted room service. In the buffet area employees would stand around and talk while we customers had to clear our own tables in order to have a place to eat. The majority of the staff was not friendly, at least not until the last two days of the cruise, when so many complaints had been registered. — This was my 14th cruise and I will never sail NCL…

love to travel, appreciative of good service, a busy person, noticing the details
I have taken the Norwegian Cruise Line this summer of 2007 on Pride of Aloha to go to Hawaii for a week. Customer service was very poor, in order to have your sheets and towels changed, you would have to ask for it. The buffets were very bad, food was alway cold and tasteless. If we wanted to go to the restaurant, we should've make a reservation one day prior. Administration was not very polite. I will never travel with this cruise line and would not recommend…

Extremely disapointed with NCL. Had to wait 1.5 hours one night for dinner, another night 1 hour because of not enough waiters. Dinning room was half full but not enough waiters and service. Long lines at breakfast and lunch. Food was of poor quality when compared with Royal Carribean Cruise lines. Entertainment also of poor…

This was by far the worst cruise I have ever been on! I have been on alot of cruises, including carnival, princess, and other ncl ships, and ncl is by far the worst. The last ncl we went on, our room had flooded with sewage water, and it smelled horrible. They told us they could not give us another room, but after 4 days of complaining, and not being able to stand the smell, they finally gave us one. I thought that was strange that somehow they had a room after 4 days into the cruise! Anyway, we decided to try them again, I don't know why, I guess I thought that that…

DO NOT GO ON THIS SHIP. MY GRANDMOTHER WAS ON THIS SHIP AND SLIPPED BY THE POOL. THEIR STAFF REFUSED TO OPEN THE MEDICAL CENTER FOR HER. WHEN THEY WERE FINALLY FORCED TO THEY TOLD HER SHE SPRAINED HER ARM (WHEN SHE CLEARLY TOLD THEM IT WAS HER NECK AND NOT HER ARM THAT HURT) AND WOULD NOT TREAT HER ANY FURTHER, THEY LEFT HER FOR OVER 24 HOURS WITH A FRACTURED SPINAL CORD WHEN SHE WAS FINALLY OPERATED ON HER NECK WAS IN HER BACK AND SHE IS NOW ON LIFE SUPPORT AND MAY NOT MAKE IT. —
WHEN THE BOAT DOCKED THEY WOULDNT EVEN LET HER OFF THE BOAT THEY TOLD US SHE WAS NOT A PRIORITY. DO…

Our First Sailing w/NCL and our last we were on this ship April 16 2008 for a ten day cruise of Hawaii. The service was terrible and the food was ridiculous, no tray to go through the food lines, you have to be juggler!. No direction when boarding the ship no one around to answer any questions. Same food menus in the dining rooms every night. First Morning up for breakfast someone asked if there any more coffee cups the employee answered YEAH WHEN THEY GET OUT OF THE DISHWASHER!! Very RUDE Juice machines empty in the morning . I have sailed Royal Caribbean great Cruise…

into romantic getaways, love to travel, laid-back, family traveler, expecting good, fair service, spanish teacher, a bargain hunter, english teacher
I recently went on this ship for a family vacation, and I loved it. The food was only so so, as was the entertainment. I liked the freestyle part of it, that there wasn't a schedule and I could do whatever I wanted. There always seemed to be something to do, but the activities themselves were not top notch. I did enjoy the cultural ambassador that showed us how to make leis, hula, etc. — I highly reccomend getting a room with a private balcony, and booking shore excursions with someone OTHER than the cruiseline. The cost of the shore excursions is cut in half doing this and you…

NCL does a BRILLIANT job of giving you Hawaii! You don't have to waste DAYS of your vacation going to a foreign port. All your food and lodging needs are taken care of, and MOST of your transportation as well! We saw lava flowing into the Pacific at night. We heard Hawaiian history/culture lectures before geting off the ship, so we had a better idea of where we actually wanted to rent a car, and what we wanted to see on each island. The food was fabulous from the buffets to the "up grade" restaurants. I LIKE having a mostly American crew. I'd do it again in a heartbeat! —…

I took my family on a 10 night trip, I bought the package that the pay airline all in one deal. — I paid for this 8 months in advance. To start our trip none of us sat together on a 12 hr flight! We got balcony rooms. they were tiny. The beds were so hard. The food was okay...just okay nothing like the other cruise i had been on. Room service wasn't all that great. Now the best part was where we were at in the world....I have to say it was an awesome place. —…

This cruise was a delight in many ways, we met wonderful people. The staff was friendly but we have had friendlier. The weather and views were beautiful, of course. For many this is a great way to experience Hawaii, but for those that love the land there may not be enough time to do all that you love to do in Hawaii. Food was not as good as it could be. None the less we had a great time but we usually do on a cruise. …

My wife and I ook a cruise to Hawaii on norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) back in May of last year and it was a very awesome experience. We were on this 13 floor cruise ship for a week and theres all sorts of things to do on here like go to the gym and work out, go to a bar or restaurant and even go swimming. The possibilities are endless and its well worth the money if you decide to try…
