This was our first cruise. We wanted to see all of the Hawaiian Islands and not have to change hotels. The cruise allow us to do that. However, it was not a fabulous cruising experience. Some examples to illustrate ~~ One evening at dinner in the most expensive restaurant on ship, I asked the waiter for salt and pepper as none were on our table. The other tables did have the shakers, so I thought that it was an oversight when the table was set. However the waiter informed me that I did not need it, the chef seasoned everything perfectly. Lunch one afternoon at the on deck buffet, serving hamburgers and hot dogs. The basket for the buns was empty. We asked the attendant for buns. He said to use a piece of bread; it works the same. Room Service ~~ we had tours scheduled for the mornings and wanted to have breakfast brought in while getting ready. Room service was suppose to be 24/7. We order pastry basket, fruit and coffee ~~ plus a side of bacon. Everything came except the bacon. I called to make sure that we could order that and asked the guidelines for the next morning. Was told not a problem, go ahead and request the same items in the morning. We did. The next morning, when the server brought the breakfast, he told us to quit ordering the bacon because it was not going to be delivered. Housekeeping ~~ twice we returned to our room at the end of the day & it had not be cleaned.
