The cruise was fun and relaxing. The staff were not just pleasant...but friendly, social and delightful (and more than willing to help). The room was a decent size, and the activities were endless! I enjoyed the freestlye cruise, because we could choose when, where and with whom we wanted to eat. Overall,... read full review »

DO NOT GO ON THIS SHIP. MY GRANDMOTHER WAS ON THIS SHIP AND SLIPPED BY THE POOL. THEIR STAFF REFUSED TO OPEN THE MEDICAL CENTER FOR HER. WHEN THEY WERE FINALLY FORCED TO THEY TOLD HER SHE SPRAINED HER ARM (WHEN SHE CLEARLY TOLD THEM IT WAS HER NECK AND NOT HER ARM THAT HURT) AND WOULD NOT TREAT HER...

This cruise was the first cruise I had ever taken in my 28 years on this earth.  I had never been outside of the United States, and let me tell you, this was the perfect first trip outside my comfort level!

Everything was wonderful.  From the time we stepped onto the loading dock, the staff and crew treated us like royalty.  We were busy from day to day, participating in ship activities and, of course, EATING.

The great thing about traveling with the Norwegian Cruise Line is that you can participate in what's called "freestyle crusing".  For the most part, many cruise lines have their own...

My daughter, son-in-law and I went to Bermuda in October of 2007 out of Charleston, SC, on the Norwegian Cruise Line's Majesty.  We were on the Cruise over the Halloween holiday and the crew really did an outstanding job of getting into the spirit, with a costume contest and dance.  The crew talent show is always one of my favorite events and this time was no exception.  The weather was bad and we were unable to have as much time in port as had been originally planned, but the Activities staff, made sure that plenty of on-board activities gave everyone options for entertainment.  The cabins... read full review »

The tornado cloud overhead as we left Charleston Harbor should have been warning enough...

After 3 days at sea, we were anxious to set foot at Grand Caymens Island at Noon.  We were greeted by the Captain on the loudspeaker announcing we would not be docking today due to "large swells".  And further, that there were only 3 ships allowed to dock on the other side of the island, and sadly our ship was not one of the 3 chosen by "lottery" that day.

So onward we sailed, backtracking to Cozumel, and another day at sea.  We had a nice day in port at Cozumel.  Back at sea for another day and a...

We enjoyed our recent cruise to Bermuda. However, there was a problem with the dining room or kitchen staffing and the first night everyone waited 2.75 hours to complete our meal. No one got served in less than 1.75 hours. The food service improved as the week progressed but was not as good as we've had on other cruises. I will add though that the food was very good and the selections were ample.

The most disturbing factor on this cruise was that the ship is in need of updating. There is chipped paint on the deck, disturbed or broken decor, the cabin walls are "thin" - didn't even have...

My wife and I are senior citizens who love to cruise. This cruise allows us to get the most for our vacation dollars. We love Charleston so the departure port is a plus. The ship is small and old but always comfortable. The service, entertainment and food never disappoint. It is easy to find bargain fares on the Internet. We are not party people but there are all types available if you are looking for companions.

I have taken about ten cruises and enjoyed everyone but not as much as the Norwegian Cruise.   The accomodations, service, food, entertainment were all excellent.   I loved the freestyle dining which not too many other lines offer.  We did not always leave the ship when we docked in different places as there was still plenty to do onboard.  Can't wait to take my next cruise on NCL.

The food was average at best . Our room sterwards was the best staff members we had .

The boat transfers to the ports were slow and wasted time and the express walk off  to get off the ship was a joke . A good cruise if you like to play bingo .

I love to cruise Norweigan however takes a back seat to Royal Carribean cruise lines the staff seem not as enthusiastic to please as other cruise lines perhaps it is because of the gratuity is included in the fares agd
