We bought our father, who was deaf but used a teletype machine and phone to communicate, the Northwestern Bell Big Button Plus 20200 Corded Phone and it did a fine job for him. He had the phone for a few years and it was still working the day we packed it up.

The bell big button plus 20200 corded phone is an awesome lightweight phone and has great features and easy to clean large buttons. Very economical on the budget for those with a tight budget. The sound quality is good and the handset fits most average people hands. It is also very durable. The only thing I don't care for is there is no caller ID display (I gave it as a gift for a friend who has an apt. ) . The cord may be short but I went and bought a 100 foot phone line type cord extention and its works just fine for my friensds . She walks all over her apt. if it was a cordless.
