North State North State Superyard XT Portable Playyard & Gate

This item is great because does hold children hostage up to a point. My child was able to push it to where he wanted it before I made sure to put it on carpet. If you have it on hardwood, make sure to have it pressed against something to stop movement.

I sometimes use it in pieces. I take the four-sides and use them as a barrier to keep him in the den. it can stand on its own so I dont have to worry about him escaping. I worry more about him eating paper. I then take the remaining two-sides and use that to block him from leaving another room. I keep the two-sides wedged partially behind a sofa so that he cannot push it out of the way. it works but I must be vigilant.

There are times I cannot open or lock it on the first try, but that means I have to pay attention to what I am doing and not try to work on auto pilot. It is great to take with us on trips and relieves our host of the worry that our child will destroy something.

If you are looking for a product that will allow you to leave a child unattended, there is no such. Children can find danger is a sterile room with pillow padded walls and cushioned floors. This product does however allow me to not worry that he will get into something untoward as fast.
