Largest No Kill Shelter - Lots of pets looking for forever homes

Over the years I have made the 3 + hour drive to Port Washington several times and each time I have found the perfect puppy/dog to fit into my home. I have brought my current dog(s) with me so that once I found a dog I liked I could make sure they would bond with the new addition. My shelter dogs have been blessings to me and my home. Each has been a treasure to own. Although it is very difficult to leave with only one, there are so many choices and each tugs at your heart. I have seen the deplorable practices of this shelter. They ship in puppies from the South, but will not take adults. They do same day adoptions and many of the adopted puppies end up getting sick or dying from diseases because they haven't been quarantined for good health.
