When you step onto the campus of North Greenville University you will immediately recognize the close community amongst students, professors, and administrators.  As an alum of NGU, I can testify that I know that the professors always had my best interest at heart.  Their desire to know me personally matched their desire for me to receive an excellent education.  Not only did the professors care, but administrators, including President Dr. Epting, do their best to get to know students, develop long-lasting relationships with them, and be sincerely concerned about your education and spiritual well-being.

As a Christian institution, and a University supported through the South Carolina Baptist Convention, you may question if they are only concerned about your religious education or if you will be prepared to meet real-world challenges once your degree is complete.  Let me assure you that while your spiritual walk with the Lord is always a great importance, you will be challenged, tested, and prepared in the highest quality of education.   My husband graduated with a BA in Religion (now known as Christian Studies) and I received my BA in Elementary Education.  We have often discussed how much more prepared we feel in our respective career fields than many of our co-workers have been.  We do not credit ourselves but instead we give the credit to North Greenville University and the glory to God that we were able to attend a college that was dedicated to excellence in education.

Another amazing thing about North Greenville University is that while it is a private institution, they work dilligently at being affordable for students.  The Admissions Department has highly qualified counselors who are prepared and ready to help you find the most affordable way possible to attend the college.  As a matter of fact, the last two semesters that I attended the college, my scholarships and grants amounted to the point that I received a check from the college.  I was then able to use that money to purchase books and to pay for travel expenses.  While I cannot promise that you will attend free of charge, I can promise that the North Greenville University understands these difficult economic times and will do their very best to help your education to be as affordable as possible.

When you decide to visit North Greenville University be prepared!  Prepared for what?  Be prepared to encounter the difference that only Jesus Christ can make.  Students who attend NGU cannot help but be affected by the influence of Christ.  All religious education at NGU, including weekly chapel services are founded on the belief that the Bible is perfect and without errors.  Discussion is welcome in classrooms and your faith will be refined during such formative years of a young adult.
