Norman Love's BLACK is a dark chocolate triumph
I'm lucky to live at Norman Love's home base:  southwest Florida.  This former pastry chef (Ritz Carlotn, no less) turned his attention to chocolate a few years ago, and since then, has taken the world by storm.  Mr. Love's Chocolate Salon in Fort Myers, Florida is not to be missed (and is near RSW airport for a quick stop when you visit!).

This fall, Norman launched BLACK, a line of chocolates just as beautiful as his others (which look like ethereal marbles or shiny stones in vivid hues).  But the new BLACK line is made with the world's finest dark chocolates.   Norman sourced the world for primo cocoa beans and found them in the Dominican Republic;  Ecuador;  Bolivia;  Venezuela;  and Madagascar.

The resulting dark chocolates have a variety of flavors, some robust, some more subtle.  Wrap your tongue around a BLACK confection, and - as in drinking red wine - a panoply of flavors become apparent:  notes of black tea and a hint of tobacco;  coffee, licorice and currants;  lemon and grapefruit (can you imagine!?);  coffee, plum, orange and cinnamon;  and lastly . . . roasted hazelnut, wild berry, subtle clove and cedar.   Which combination makes your mouth water?   I got to taste them all at a launch party and was amazed how different they all tasted.   (And how difficult it was to stop eating them!)

If the list of flavors doesn't make you want to indulge with a little online shopping, I don't know what will.   Dark chocolate goes beautifully, by the way, with the right red wine, so treat yourself to a little BLACK (or treat a friend for Christmas) and get ready for a taste explosion.    Bonus:  dark chocolate is good for you, so give BLACK a whirl.

The Bottom Line:  Libby Loves It!
