I have had three Phillips Norelco 7110 X electric shavers. I paid full price for two at Walmart and 50% for one at CVS. The shaver is attractive. It is not loud. It can be rinsed using tap water. One gets a good shave although this often takes a lot of time, especially for those whose neck is sensitive. The first one's motor quit. The blade assembly system in the head of the razor requires very adept fingers and excellent vision to reassemble. The top part holding the blazes in can break one of the three sides very quickly.
With this present razor I am strictly relying on hot water rinses to get the clipped facial hairs out. I get a good shave, especially when it is used every day. Electric shave lotion or soap/water to the skin before starting helps. It goes not get close to the upper lip edges very well. At the same time, there is little razor burn.
For a young man, this is a great razor although having a recharge light that works would help. Takes a long time to recharge.
If money is not the object, spending more would be highly recommended. I am reviewing another model as well. I have only used Norelco razors, except for a new short stint with a cheap Braun unit. Comfort and convenience with high maintenance at a low price. Thus I can only rate the 7110 X 3***
